That's because twitter's search function is rubbish. I shouldn't be too hard on them though, it's not meant to be a historical record. I'll try to find my own entries. Thanks for taking your time to do that Dave, "coming Wednesday, more saturated summer fixtures as per last year", was this supposed to be another "Big Wednesday"? Interesting the question about a zonal NPL, there is massive gaps south of the river. Who is MC? quite disappointing there were no general questions allowed.

Thanks f1 Dave - I give some those a read now. edit: Read now. Thanks for effort that time. Obviously you are forced to abbreviate the Q&A somewhat. Giving the timing of that forum and what we've seen since with the stadium for instance (Another 'Stadium Hiring' issue?) and too the issues (On-going) with memberships especially compared to how 'great guns' our rivals over East are going - Fans may need to suggest to Sage and the promising new CEO (Since then) via the next forum to almost revamp that whole area - replicate what the clubs over East are 'doing right' - so many of them have 'great ideas' and initiatives. Not every idea, nor initiative, costs a fortune and some of them actually SAVE you money surely. The amount of fiscal waste at Sage's Glory over the years - he's well recognised! Hence, ironically, the budget cuts on the squad these days! And with issues over stadium management and the Force seeing priority - Glory smartening up their approach in this area may see a larger member base and too slightly larger crowd averages, therefore giving them more clout when it comes to all these stadium related issues and otherwise! bovs wrote:You mean the dodgy bordering-on-criminal bankrupt Nathan Tinkler?
On the original points regarding Sage... I can't even remember the last kit we played in where orange was anything more than minor trim and less prominant than white on the shirt. Can't exactly blame Sage for that then. And he may continually threaten to move stadium, but he never has. And unless he does move and it's to somewhere worse than what we currently have how can you criticise him?!
A lot of the issues with memberships and what-not aren't anything new... if you're talking about purple-tinted glasses then in my opinion that's what you seem to be looking back at the Tana/Catania days with... things were far from perfect back then as well.
On-field... I do agree in that I think Sage never got footballing advice to make up for his own lack of knowledge other than through the coaches themselves... while most fans could see how badly Fergie and Mitch were as coaches, Sage was happy to take their advice which was of course that what they were doing was right. Really the club needs a director of football with unquestionable knowledge of the game... but I'm not surprised to think we can't afford one.
And for all the on-field crapness... we have played finals twice and made a grand final in Sage's time as owner.
In regards to a DoF that got put paid thanks to the Dave Mitchell 'promotion'/failed exercise and the subsequent internal review it caused which saw not only Mitchell dumped but the position scrapped for being ill-conceived, lacking clear guidelines, function or what not. And not purple tinted - just it's frustrating, they need to learn improve - especially as even slow learners elsewhere in the league are. But to be optimistic, the stadium improved now, stadium improvements over, and with the trend across the league - Glory will have no choice but to catch/smarten up, really. Sage and co must be learning how to better gear/target their budgeting and resources in this area - organisation is every thing. Edited by GloryPerth: 1/9/2013 10:31:24 PM

Shopping Centre stalls... It's not subtle, but who needs subtle?! They also have a post advertising memberships for Father's Day, lol. I suppose it's almost cringe worthy, but I don't understand why the difference is Day and Night, from there to here? Hopefully the new CEO can be the man to turn it around. He sounds as IF he could be 'the guy' to do so! Melbourne Heart's 'membership' spam on the FB page is almost chronic - every second or third notification, via some form or aside... but its working! And if Glory had a stall circulating or even in more than a couple of the major shopping centres in Perth, for memberships and merchandise... imagine how many they'd sign up there?! Atleast several dozens - atleast it'd be the kind of ' initiative' worth a try?! The Perth Royal Show is coming up - I wonder if Glory will have a stall up there? Have they before? Plenty of families there! I see No 'Perth Glory' show bag though! Man U and even the Socceroos have one, as too, ofcourse, the AFL clubs... http://www.perthroyalshow.com.au/showbags.aspxEdited by GloryPerth: 1/9/2013 11:13:43 PM

Shayne Hope on SportFM this morning said that Glory would be announcing a new signing this week, but had no further details.
I thought we were no longer in the market for new players?

I thought we were no longer in the market for new players? Could be the case that someone cheap has approached the club. Does seem unexpected though.

LTI replacement for Dodd or is it one more spot in the 23?? I hear Ivan Ergic is a free agent. Another homegrown talent returning home????? Ljubo called up the club out of the blue and got a gig. They were team mates in 1999, maybe Ljubo gave him a call???? Stranger things have happened. Edited by hotrod: 2/9/2013 11:40:22 AMEdited by hotrod: 2/9/2013 11:41:10 AM

Could just be a local like Dean Evans, Edwards alluded to that possibility.

OK, did not realise that about Ergic. But, is this latest signing one of the squad of 23 or an LTI for Dodd??? Someone more expensive for a Dodd LTI (cover by insurance) could be someone looking for a short term gig or less expensive if under the squad of 23, sounds like Evans. Maybe its going to be a coaching staff signing instead of a player signing? I tweeted Shayne Hope looking for more detail but no response yet.
On another note - bloody oath, I can't believe how badly we're being rated by the bookies. 7th/8th place finishes tipped. We may not look like world-beaters at the moment, but we're not THAT far off the pace.

Should be moving up the ladder in coming seasons as the new philosophy takes hold.

Sounds about right. I think Ali has said they will aim for 6th, which is their aspiration. Probably thinks 7th would be fair, anything below than that then a fail.

I'd expect the new signing to be similar to the last big name European that the club announced with fanfare. Maybe go with a big name German signing this time - perhaps new boots from Adidas. Who really knows.
