TBH Is signing Covic really that bad, under the circumstances? Given what's out there, I guess there aren't many other options - not with experience anyway? And sign him for a season, his twilight - he and Tyson compete for #1, by end of season, heading into next, Tyson is more readied to seize #1 when Covic departs/retires?

thks for that begbie, was wondering what happened.
Incidentally, I just saw Sage this arvo as I was pulling out onto the Tce in the city. Didn't have time to wind the window down and ask him what was up with Harnwell!

Absolutely disgraceful what the club is doing with signings and Harnwell. Pity i already renewed.
Such a shame about Harnwell. I'll never forget playing indoor against him at a glory camp when he first signed for glory :-(

Yes it is bad and makes no sense. We are not realistically going to challenge for anything this season so we should be using it to rebuild - not sign 40 year old stop gaps. Tyson should have been given the chance to establish himself this season as #1 as part of that rebuilding.

Just spoke to Jerrad Tyson on FB and he said he knew that another keeper was signing on and likes the fact that it's Covic. Says they have a great dynamic together, but he did say he's come to Perth to be number 1.

If ever there was a time for Glory to hit the reset button, it is this coming season. Unfortunately, it looks like they have hit the rewind button, not by accident, but on purpose.

Just Wondering who's to blame for the mess we are constantly in? Nobody that leaves has a bad word to say about Tony Sage who is the one receiving the blame from most supporters.

GloryPerth wrote:Atleast he's more available now, to be a pundit for Foxsports. I think he's a good pundit and a welcome change of perspective to reflect against the East Coast bias - Foxsports should bring him in full-time as he's obviously got history, heritage but also good coaching credentials, recent credentials too. As capable with the tactical and insider input as Rudan, Aloisi - any of them!
And soo damn sick of the SFC, MV and WSW fans dominating those panels - Get that outside perspective. And given how isolated Perth Glory is, physically, but also coverage-wise - Harnwell is the man to give insider insight and better knowledge on the happenings out this way and again, more balance to panel discussion.
#westvsrest Nick Meredith is better than Harnwell :) and better looking

ABC news Perth tonight reported that Andy Keogh is overseas and does not want to play for Glory. Other Australian clubs are said to be interested in signing him. If he doesn't return and play for Glory and signs instead for another A-League club, I would expect him to get an absolute earful when he plays at nib. Edited by biscuitman1871: 9/7/2015 11:00:51 PM

It's a joke every member didn't get refunded for last season. And to only offer discounts to current members??? Members are vital, more should have been done to reimburse and attract new members.

I'm making the point here about buisness practice, and the ludicrous suggestion that nobody that leaves Glory speaks ill of Tony Sage because Sage pays them . clearly the job should have been Harnwell's if he wanted it, but I see the attraction of any buisness to advertise positions to find the best candidate. How often have fans complained about jobs for the boys at Glory? One thing we do know is that Jamie's role with the W Team was incorporated with in his existing role at football west. Maybe Glory like the idea of the same being at Glory where as a current employee takes the role within there current employment and at no additional cost.

This kind of ruins whatever credibility you had Begbie. Have you ever disagreed with any of the clubs actions? Even us glory bashers find the odd positive from time to time. How you can possibly agree with the slap in the face of making harnwell reapply has me questioning if you are TS himself.
