Surprised there isn't more begbie telling hotrod how wrong he was. Edited by soil: 14/3/2016 05:48:27 PM I am more than happy that Hotrod has stopped posting crap that needs to be corrected although I have been tempted to repost a few of the 'best of the worst' but even that would be a very big list. Edited by begbie: 16/3/2016 12:22:36 PM Just glad that Glory are starting to do things the right way. Long may it continue, not the starting but the doing. But it is refreshing to see what a good CEO can do. He has not put a foot wrong and Sage seems uncharacteristically quiet. All we see of him these days is on the big screens at matches with a smile and a wave. If some of the purported off-season signings come to fruition, then Glory can look forward to big things next season and beyond. They have their 4-year plan now. They need to stick to it. No more chasing shadows.

Completely, absolutely, unreservedly agree 100% with what you've said.

Vuck fan here, but I just wanted to say it's refreshing to see a competent Perth Glory outfit - seems like everyone, players and staff alike, are all switched on and truly committed to taking the club back to the 'glory' days of the NSL. Such a massive football nursery out West, a strong Glory will only benefit from this if they continue on this path.
That said, I hope you don't win too much of course, just happy to see you're not a basket case anymore - well done Perthians =d>

And I really hope we keep our CEO for a while so he can implement and help achieve our 4 year plans and beyond. Looking forward to next season and the potential new signings too. Will finally buy a membership next season I think. I never have because it just isn't cost effective for me with work getting in the way and the constant shambles but think next season will be different.

Just as long as the FFA dont poach our new CEO for their FFA role. Im fully expecting a worldwide search to come down to hiring someone from in the organisation anyway.

After 3-4 seasons I went along to the Jets game a couple of weeks ago. Small steps for a previous season pass gold family member. Might even consider renewing my expired membership. Multiply that by a couple of thousand and membership could be booming also, come next season.

Would love to have Vuka back too. Our squad is so bloody good right now, that we really don't need many players.

I'm happy to give left back to warren next year. Another year, full pre season and year of team bonding might improve him even more. Throw Goodwin in front of him instead of garcia. But my actuation wish list is to lock in castro, Vadocz and reiners. As for goalkeeper i think covic has done wonderful and has at least one more season in him.

I'm pretty concerned about Rhys Williams' injury record. If you are paying top dollar for a returning Socceroos you need to be as certain as possible they'll be fit for most of the season.

I don't think we will have room in the cap for Rhys if he doesn't drop his value, which he may due to his injury history. But I don't really understand why he would come back...have there been any legit rumours? Also not sure if he would be a smart signing with Vadosc and Risdon in the squad. Might unbalance our squad. Like PerthJay said...I want to see Vadosc, Castro and Reiners locked in. And despite what I said about Williams I guess I'd put him on the wish list...add Clut to that. Clut would be a handy signing to play Marinokvic's role.
Not sure why Goodwin would leave Adelaide. But would be a great acquisition to replace Garcia/push Warren.

Nate wrote:Still have to pinch myself when I think of how beautifully this season is going. Such a turn around. That WSW game was such a big loss for us. If it was a draw we would only be 3 points away from the top with 3 games to play. Contentious goal too with the high foot. Incredible turn around.

So what can we get attendance wise against Melbourne city?
I was wildly off with my suggestion against ccm.
Sunday arvo. Chance to possibly climb into top 3.
Could we break 16k???
Glory should smash the advertising this week and do what needs to be done for the final home game.

Pretty frustrating game to watch yesterday, like Keogh said we ground out the win. Next weekend at home to Melbourne City should be awesome though, can't wait! Biggest crowd of the year hopefully...

Decent show up today and great to be at the game. Hoping the results will go our way next week and we get a home final. What are peoples' ideal situation?
I'd like the look of either...
ADU 49 BR 48 PG 46 WSW 46 MC 44 MV 41
or...
ADU 49 WSW 48 BR 48 PG 46 MC 44 MV 41

That's 14 (now 21) more points for 33 (now 40) come end of the regular season.
Need to pump CCM and get to the magic 34. City, Victory and Sydney all have tricky games against top 6 teams. City have AU x 2, Roar and Glory Victory have Roar x 2, WSW Sydney Roar, AU and Glory Looking forward I can see the end table similar to this: 4 City 42 +17 5 Victory 41 +9 6 Glory 40 +6 7 Sydney 38 +3 Most likely looks like playing the Roar away. Yay. If they can get a win over City at home they will be playing them in Melbourne finishing above Victory. Although a Melbourne Derby in the finals would be sweet. Id just like to say how great the Atmosphere was in the Stadium on Sunday Afternoon. I think I looked around about 5 minutes into the game and the new stand looked full (although less fool on the tv). The area in front of the Shed was also quite full (I actually thought there was more than 14k there).
However one thing that is irking me is how there was no Radiocast of the game. It seems as soon as the AFL season starts, the ABC drops the A League like a hot potato and quickly gets into bed with the AFL/NRL. Grandstand had gone into hibernation with its pre-recorded 2000's themed Sport Specials. The game had over 14K games, 2 of the best attacking teams in the comp, Bruno and Diego firing, Mooy, Keogh looking to set a record and we get NO radio coverage. (I dont know if Sport FM were covering this). If the ABC are going to cover a sport then cover it (how many commercial radio stations cover the AFL?).

When do clubs and Perth specifically start selling 2016/17 memberships? Perth should open as soon as posible with the enthusiasm of current form. After the Sydney game ideally...would be peak excitement for the next season, unless we win the championship.
