I was never sent off in my career. Closest I got was a fight and a yellow card after swinging late (intentionally - the guy was a wanker) and smacking some guys leg. You could hear the spank of my foot on his thigh from the sideline. :lol: it would have been a red had it not have been juniors.

I hate when refs have no balls to pull out a card. It happens too often up here too, mostly in juniors. I don't care if they're juniors. If they're in the wrong, it deserves a card.

This 100%. I think the biggest mistake a referee can make is not giving a card to juniors when they should. As far as I'm concerned doesn't make a difference whether the kid is 12 or 22 if it's a bookable offence they deserve it, and actually it's worse not giving a card to a kid than to an adult.

Exactly. A farcical example is what has happened to my brother a couple of years ago. He nearly had his leg snapped off and was in quite a bit of pain. The **** who did the tackle went up to him and said something insensitive and my bro replied "piss off." Result? My bro got a booking and that **** got off scot free. They give out rare bookings for stupid shit, but for a real punishable offence, the refs tend to prove their lack of manhood.

Yeah, the refs in our league seem to be alot harder on dissent and backchatting rather than foul play. I've been a victim of foul play, the guy did a Kevin Muscat style tackle, which upended myself, he also had a chuckle, got off complete, fucking scot-free. While, a yellow card came from a teammate arguing against an incorrect offside decision.

I honestly think these refs are scared of what the reaction will be I they dish out a card, if they are, they shouldn't be refs FFS. You can make an excuse that they are only 16 or whatever, but, if you're gonna send out a 16yo to ref, you have to be sure they're are completely confident and up for it.

WGMG: found out my grandfather has been rushed into surgery during the day. Then had to front up to my tribunal hearing, and got totally railroaded as I'd expected. Recieved a 2 month reduction, but the ban is still for 4 months, for something I didn't do and had police statements and stat decs to confirm, but they were refused as evidence.

Was also privvy to the new rules FFA are introducing that have the potential to destroy club football as we know it due to it's stupidity. Invading the field of play now applies to anyone that enters the pitch during the duration of a sheduled match, including pre-game and half time and post. So clubs can be fined $500 for anyone that goes on the pitch to have a kick at half time, or at the conclusion of a game until all players are off the field. Was also privvy to the rule that if club associates commit any offence at any time the club will be fined (their wording was if a player registered to a club assaults a referee during the week, away from the game, the club will be fined). Club associates is a loose terminoligy, can be anyone wearing club clothing or who has been associated with a club, absolutely ridiculous. [/rant]

I've still got to get around to finishing Oblivion. And that doesn't even cover the games I haven't got yet. Little Big Planet 2 just came out, gotta get and play through that. Want to play Dragon Age, but then that also has a sequel which has just been released. Then there's the Uncharted series, which has the 3rd game coming out this year. Thank Christ I've finished Red Dead Redemption, although then there's the Undead Nightmare Storyline to play.

And all of this has to be done by the 11th of Nov, because Elder Fucking Scrolls V is going to be my world from that date onwards. Fuck.
