In my opinion your still in the shire when your in Helensburgh, Otford or even Stanwell Park (though a lot people who live there would probably fiercely protest) due to most people in these areas going to schools and later a lot of them being employed within the shire.

Going back to Shire talk...

I am from Caringbah... which has been re-zoned to "South Caringbah" I guess because Caringbah is mostly industrial and I am on the first street out of Lilli Pilli which is where the bay is.

Anyway me and my mates have grown up in Caringbah, Woolooware, Cronulla and we "East Shireys" I guess you could call us consider Gymea is too far west hehe.

Honestly though I'm just talking shit. The Shire is all inclusive. The organic shop at Gymea does the best smoothies on this Earth, Menai has the best place for cheap alcohol, Barden Ridge has a sweet driving range, Cronulla has a beautiful beach, South Caringbah has Allambie Ave Xmas lights, Engadine has a bangin' Ogalos. Together we make a half decent place...

The Shire is a great place like that don't get me wrong. We have everything you need.

It's just the people.

You get that everywhere you go. People just suck.

The people are always bound to let you down

"By the people, for the people" hardly seems worth it anymore...

Everywhere you go there are shit people.

But everywhere you go there are awesome people.

You just need to find the right ones. And it gets a whole lot easier when you aren't forced to choose your friends from being stuck at school with them every day.

Speaking of wgmg Bonkers, how did you find enrolment for Melbourne Arts?

I deferred. It was an online application and my reason was 3 sentences long. Got accepted on monday. :)

I heard enrollment was a pain in the arse though.

WGMG: uni has decided (in their infinite wisdom) to remove the clock from the tutorial enrolment system. Now no-one knows exactly when enrolment starts. Good lick Law Fac, with your 300 students in fighting for 30 places in tutes.

This. Makes a massive difference. It's a big wide world out there and once you start going out and meeting people in a work environment or in bars and clubs, you meet a huge range of new people. And they're people that you're not socialising with purely to 'fit in'.
