Annoying, because History was one of my better subjects.

Yeah, industry specific books can get expensive. Fortunately the lecturers usually just photocopy the pages involved or put them in a pdf and upload it to the student portal.

0 text books for me ;) although i do have to buy art supplies and pay for professional printing... and maybe by a Digital ISO if i get round to it

Probably still cheaper than textbooks.

I go to a private business college in the city. That is with a 10% discount as well. I know some of my mates at Uni don't get discounts.

It's done through the college. I found some of the textbooks online and they were the same price or more expensive.

That's ridiculous. No wonder kids can't afford uni anymore.

I guess that's the advantage of going to a "rural university" (yeah, cos Wollongong is rural) - there are many more things in place to help out lower income students, such as grants and scholarships. One I applied for this year gives you $500 at the uni shop if you're on Centrelink. Brilliant.

I totally empathise though, my friend doing law spent $650 on four books last session. It's highway robbery.
