They picked the worst age to do it too, I was 14 and my sister was 11, so we were old enough to know what was going on but not old enough to know how to deal with it or them. Tbh, it could be that KC's parents fight a lot but can't imagine their lives without each other. I know a few couples like that.

it must be difficult if you know your parents are going to split up but they only staying together for one reason or the other.
like imnos parents waited till they were older, so his parents obviously must have known for a while, its got to be quite hectic. especially if the kids know too.

WGMG: I have a dilemma. I got an invitation to go to the driving range with some mates on Friday night, same time as the Glory. Don't know whether to go and play golf, which i will enjoy, or go see my team play which will jus make me depressed.

It sucks, but luckily they don't fight all the time, so at least sometimes I can pretend they're happy together. afromanGT wrote:Tbh, it could be that KC's parents fight a lot but can't imagine their lives without each other. I used to be like that. I was kidding myself. I used to play the moderator. Now I just don't give a shit anymore. It was hard carrying that through my teenage years. Still is hard watching shit hit the fan. WGMG: How painfully slow the RTA is. Never mind, I have time to sit here and waste my time with everyone else while only 2 or 3 counters are open. WAGMG: Fucking slow drivers directly in front of me causing me to miss getting through the lights. WGMGEM: People who are cunts and a cancer on society. I've had enough of how society has turned for the worse in the last 7 years or so. Had a frustrating afternoon.

WGMG: I'm slowly falling out of love with football. I just can't be bothered practising, watching or reading about it any more. 2 weeks out from pre-season training and I just can't be bothered.

You may be on to something :P No but seriously, I just can't be bothered with the bravado and culture of football at the moment. I'll probably get back into it soon enough.

I'm not saying you're kidding yourself and you should give up like I did, I was just telling my part of the story. Anyway, I hope it gets better for you, because I know this sort of thing is quite a heavy thing to be carrying. :)

As soon as you stop, you'll miss playing, if you're thinking of giving it up. also, if I play well enough in Under 18's I may make it into reserves, so i may end up playing against you. So don't stop :P

WGMG: Used to never drink alcohol regularly, now that I've found a good drink I can't get off of it. Drinking as we speak, video games and card games I can confirm are much more entertaining
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Thanks though :)

He said there was some fencing going on there, so i went down and had a look, and one of their coaches who also ran a junior fencing club gave me an on the spot lesson and i went from there.

samb wrote:SOunds cool. Is it hard/does it hurt? It doesnt hurt very much, you'll get the odd bruise but nothing much, although i did managed to accidentally kneecap myself with my own guard once. At a local level its not particularly difficult, and you can find someone of just about any level to fence, but get to the bigger australian comps and its the strangest mix of young up and comings, oldies that were never particularly good, commonwealth games gold medalists and kickarse brits.

What city are you in?

It is, and great fun too, even if you're just looking to mess around, which is how i spent most of my first 7 years of fencing. well after a quick glance of the NSW fencing website it seems there are two Newcastle clubs, i'm not sure if they'd be running at the moment. http://www.nswfencing.org.au/clubs.htm
