A Sydney Jersey with name and number will set you back $160 - $120 without name and number (can't believe they're charging $40 bucks to Iron on a couple letters and numbers, if you're getting Del Piero (which every one will be!) it's going to cost you $4 bucks per letter/number. Massive Rip off.

Damn ethnics. ;)

From what you said on fb, sounds a bit fucked if they're not providing evidence or proof that you were involved. Are you sure there's no way to fight it, or to appeal - because if they have no proof, and it's all circumstantial, then they'll have to over turn it.

5 years is damn excessive. You'll be what, 25-26 before you can go to A-League games - Pretty good deterrent, but still, that's fucked. Like I said, if they've no proof, you might want to get legal advice, if you're feeling that strongly about it.

How did they know it was you, and find you. Have you got history, or a record?

They don't (and won't) have to do anything of the sort. The FFA jumps on Hatamotos say so, there are no take-backs.

That's nice, dandy and convenient, isn't it.

If that's the case - and they have no evidence, they have no grounds to ban you. Take them to court, and say you didn't even go to the said matches. I mean, after all - they have no proof you were there in the first place. Get an alibi - one of your mates to say you were at his house on the night or something. After all, a mates 'alibi' is as strong as their words if they've no proof.

At the end of the day, if you take it to court, any proof or evidence they do have has to be brought out - and if you're guilty then you're well and truly guilty.

You can't just accuse somebody of something they may or may not have done without proof and evidence. That's the society we live in - imagine if the Police had those powers; it'd be Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany all over again - living in fear of the Stasi or the SS.

Good luck with the case, but it's unlikely to do shit. A-League games aren't public events, the FFA has no obligation to take your custom.

If you do fight it and beat it, make sure you crow it from the roof top though. This shit has been going on too long.

Pretty much what heiniken said, my mate has a sergeant signed Vicpol retraction of charge for lighting a flare- I was never even charge or identified, merely dragged out for stopping the police from getting my mate. We are in the process of making a lawyers appointment and will likely sue.

From what you've said, it's a similar scenario to a pub barring a patron for 5 years, because they were thrown out for intoxication. If the cops aren't pressing charges against YOU, they really have little ground to stand on as far as I can see. Essentially, they've probably identified you from potential CCTV footage, but if you're not lighting flares, or kicking up a stink they've no grounds to give you a ban.

I mean, you say you were trying to stop the cops from arresting your friend - that is actually a crime, a lesser form of perverting the course of justice, or something (can't remember the precise law), but if the Police aren't charging you with that, the FFA can't exactly turn around and say you're a hooligan. The worst you could get from being charged with that is a fine - couple hundred dollars if the Cops are in a pissy mood.

Go for it mate. I mean, if they haven't even identified you they're certainly drawing an extremely long bow here.

Like I said, it's a similar situation to a pub barring you for 5 years for getting pissed. If the pub I worked at did that, we'd have no patrons ever again - they'd have all been barred.. Quite frankly, it's a good idea to clean up the Cross here in Sydney  Nobody would be able to go out..

But yeah, Quite frankly I think the FFA here are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Carpet Bombing a village to counter a petty thief so to speak. I get the feeling the FFA expect people to take these bans lying down - you should start a trend, because I can see with the recent incidents a lot of people finding these sorts of letter in the mail.

I also get the feeling you should blame Sydney Croatia, and the RBB/SCC - you'd probably have gotten off scott free if the incidents last month hadn't occoured - Given you said the incidents are from a fair few months ago, the FFA's probably trawling through all their dirty mail, trying to look like their on the front foot about all of this.

You're obsessed with tattoo's  at high risk matches there are police at the stadium with photo's of those banned. I'm thinking I'll just go general admission for 5 years and wear a hat and sunnies, they won't be able to police that.

I felt the same way about moving house. Everything was coming together and then fell apart and now I'm couch surfing for a week. Maybe you should move out of your chest and couch surf until you can rent one of your mate's chests.

Put yo' foot down! A couple of weeks back I had a guy going "tell [so and so] this/that/whatever" and I got that sick of it...I eventually told him "look champ, I'm not a messenger service, if you want to tell him something then tell him yourself. If you can't get in contact with him it's probably because he doesn't want to fucking talk to you so take the fucking hint and leave me out of it."

Not quite the same, but yeah. If people aren't going to come to you with their grievances then it's not worth worrying about. You're not there to put up with their shit.
