WGMG: Unliked the "30 songs in 30 Days" FB page coz it's been bought out and is spamming shitty web pages, but it's shitty statuses are still showing up in the news feed bar to the side of the main news feed. Whoevers doing it is smart too, coz they delete their older spam statuses, so reporting it to FB gets nowhere.

When I unlike pages that are pissing me off with their spam I usually go "hide from news feed" first, so it can't continue to come up.

It would be nice if you could come to some kind of an arrangement but Optus are well within their rights.

Zimbos will no doubt still be complaining in 15 years time that banks have poor customer service when they won't pause his scheduled mortgage repayments due to his choosing to go overseas and not needing to use his house.

Look, its not about being a tightarse. I just felt that since i will be away for a period over a month,i could put my contract on hold till i return at which point i continue my service. It's hardly comparable to a mortgage. I will still honour my contract and will still pay them the full fee.
If you sign up to a gym membership and then dont use it for a period of a few months, they put it on hold for you until you get back. I thought id just ask and see if optus could do it. When they said no, i got annoyed so came here to WGMG. Clearly you guys are all good bloody citizens rolling in the hardcash and dont seem to think that it is a plausible question to ask about putting a contract on hold whilst you not using the service.
Also, i dont think id buy a house on mortgage. Stupid thing to do.
