Nope. Had a homestay in Japan in Year 10 for a week and a half and it was stressed beforehand that you shouldn't do this.

I had several Japanese homestay students growing up. They're always very polite. It's the Chinese ones that are gross.

I have one at the moment and he's definitely very hygenic.

My Uncle is knocking down his lake-house to build something glorious. But his house currently has really nice hardwood timber floorboards, and I want them for my future deck. All well and good, he was happy for me to take them eventually etc, then nek minnit he rings me yesterday morning and says I need to have them all out by the end of this weekend or they get bulldozed. With no warning, he's gone ahead and sorted the demolishing of his house & I need to get these boards quick-smart. So it was lucky I'm free Sat, and I'll be working my gut out to get it done, but I've dialled in a few mates to give me return-favours on things, and they're all busy. As in, everyone is busy. I'm getting the "well you shouldn't have asked me so late" trick that I give them all the time when they know I'm the most commitment-filled dude and they want to organise entire plans within an hour, etc.

I feel obligated to point out that your uncle is doing you a favour in giving you the flooring to begin with and beggars can't be choosers.

Yeah I definately know that, hence why I'm going to be working my gut out to make it happen. I just hate people giving me short notice in anything, and therefore hate giving other people short notice as I feel super bad. So a few of my mates feel kinda bad they can't help out, but I fully understand, etc.

All good, just means I'll be riding solo for the day, smashing down some walls and stuff :lol:
