Never even though of it until now. I'm 6'6 and have a strong build so I have never really worried about it. Recently I've been thinking about it a bit more. But I worry that having a weapon would only worsen the situation if it were to happen

I guess it depends on whether or not you're trained to use it. But if you're going to die anyway you may as well take a couple of the pricks with you.

WGMG: waking up to the news that an underground mine collapsed, two people have died & some injured. Then finding out it's the pit where my cousin (who I will be best man at his wedding), one of my best mates, his dad, plus the Mrs's Uncle all work there. A panicky hour or so of phone calls but everyone I know is safe. But man, what a shithouse morning!

My cousin works in one of the mines up there, too. Was a bit nervous untill he posted a quick 'He's OK' facebook status. He works for a different mine, thankfully.

Well that must be a relief. Nothing ruins a wedding quite like a funeral.

WGMG: Group assignments. The day before we are due to hand it in one of the members decides to change our entire focus to fit their part which they wrote. Of course the focus now didn't reflect what the assignment actually asked us to do. Was up till 4 am with the other group members taking a hatchet to what she wrote.

WGMG: Having to work on a program through a remote connection. Half the time I can't tell if the program, the internet or my shit computer is stuffing up .

WGMG: Work lately has been completely chaotic, mostly due to head office trying to cut down on labour costs, chasing us up about shit that makes our job harder to do, and bringing in products that are a pain in the arse to deal with.
The people who run Grill'd could only be described as cheapskate authoritarian hipsters.

Did you have to come to Melbourne for their conferences last week?

I had a few blokes in at work from it. They said all the out of town guys got flown into town and put up for the night in a hotel, but all the people from Melbourne had to find their own way there. So when the conference finished at 1am (go figure) they were stuck in the CBD.

Yeah our manager was away at a conference, didn't know it was in Melbourne. But nah, I'm just a staffling, no conference for me.

It was bizarre. They fly all the management in to town from interstate and put them up in a hotel and then tell all their local managers "well...fend for yourselves. Good luck".

WGMG: May have shot myself in the foot by agreeing to cover a shift at work tomorrow. I kinda owe her still from NYE, but after I agreed to it, I decided to double check the due date of one of my assignments, and it's due on Monday at midday. Aaand I kinda haven't started it. :lol:

Looks like a all-nighter following my shift tomorrow. :lol: #-o
