I'm likely to get an HTC as my next phone. What 'awesome' features does the iPhone have?

Multitasking apps, so you can have multiple parts of the phone open at once without closing any previous apps. So if you're in the middle of a game, you can answer an sms without closing the game and losing progress, etc.

You're also able to organise any apps you have into folders on the phone, so you click on the 'folder' and it opens up to show which apps are in there. Good for organising games etc.

That's the two main ones from the new update, plus a bunch of others that are cool. The HTC does look pretty nifty though.

So basically they're improving on the simple functionality of it, rather than 'adding awesome new features'. It was kind of odd that these weren't available aspects of the original iphone and that it's taken them until now to incorporate something so simple as being able to organise apps or have multitasking.

WFMB: Watching classic Shaun Micallef... was much better on ABC than what he is doing now (even though current stuff is still gold). Too watered down and mainstream. I want absurdity!!!!!

He's right on the money actually. It's a feature that's present on my phone (the model's 2 years old now), and I'm sure it is on others.

Well LG, Samsung and Nokia have been doing it for years, so it can't be particularly complex. It's a basic Unix operating system, as used by LG and Nokia.

All of which are completely different phones to the iPhone.

This is relevant how? We're talking about software, not hardware.

What does me having an iPhone or not have to do with a simple software feature - regardless the platform the phones are based on.
