E for excellence...we have a fucked up marking system in NZ.

Yeah we have that system up til year 10. Though I think they changed it to credit, distinction, HD, like in uni. But year 11-12 we use A+ A, etc.

Ours go not achieved, achieved, merit, excellence.
I remember when my aussie friend moved here in yr9 and the first mark she got was an E, she was so pissed off and couldn't understand why everyone was congratulating her :lol: .
