I didn't lose my virginity until a year and a half into my first relationship. In my view it makes it a lot less cheap and meaningless than after a couple of weeks.

Of course that girl cheated on me constantly and in her mind it was just another shag with a bloke, but regardless.

Before i was in a relationship i didnt really think it was of much importance or consequence, but that kind of chaged pretty quickly, i havent had sex, and its definitely something thats going to be a way off, but id be lying if i said i wasnt thinking about it.
