WFMB: So let me set the scene. Today was our last practical session for football coaching so we decided to play a game of 11v11. I was on the right side, playing as a winger (I prefer right back, but hey). It was the first time I'd played for a month due to my iliotibial band syndrome so I was rusty to the extreme.



NOT LIKE IT MATTERED.



First possession of the ball, I receive it on the right wing and turn towards goal with a deft touch. Their left back is staring me down. He wants a piece of action. He wants me to teach him how to dance.

So teach him to dance I will.

I run at him, he backtracks ever so slightly. I'm within his reach so he goes for the tackle...



Nope.

RIGHT LEG STEP OVER! He's bamboozled, but my follow up touch with the left was slightly too heavy so I couldn't get past him... yet. I continue to creep forward slightly, but this time he's learnt his lesson. He's getting smarter. Not smart enough though. He can't prepare himself for what's about to happen...

CRUYFF TURN. A PERFECT SPECIMEN. AN EXHIBITION IN CRUYFF TURNING. JOHAN HIMSELF WEPT A SINGLE TEAR.

The left back knows he's beaten. He has been given a one-on-one samba workshop. As I accelerate away from him with the sheer speed of an F-14 fighter he tries to to turn and stick out a leg, but to no avail. He had been bested by a truly magnificent piece of skilful wing play. From here I was bearing down on goal. My time to shine.

I saw it open up.
That gap.
Every strikers dream.

The keeper would have been too slow to reach it, this I knew. The excitement builds. My teammates and opponents stand still and silent, in awe of what they have just seen. Everything else is blank to me. I know what must be done. I unleash the most powerful shot to ever have been attempted by my right leg in it's existence. Akinfenwa was dying of jealousy. Truly a military-grade cannon.......






But some fucker blocked it and it went out for a corner :\

Notor, that's a sensational photo. It's great to actually see a parent posting a legitimate portrait of their child. WFMB: Had the best GGG moment today. This old lady had back her car off her driveway and into a little ditch, and she couldnt get out. So Im skateboarding by when shes all like "young man can you give me a hand" so i helped her push it out. That feel.
