Bowden, you're the the human embodiment of butthurt. You, thupercoach and the rest of the mouth-breathing AF regulars need to GET THE FUCK OVER IT. Without Cahill our national team of the last 6-7 years would have been a mere shadow of what it has actually become, but a couple of sentences that didn't blindly praise a league that is NOT at a super-high standard makes him the nation's biggest villain?

To be fair, Bowden is one of the better posters in AF, and he's a top bloke. But i disagree with his views on the Cahill issue.

WFMB: Watched my grade's Grand Final today and probably the biggest dickhead from the team that knocked us out last week got sent off and gave away the penalty that lost them the game.

WFMB: Drew 1-1 in the Reserves match today. Against the top of the table Fremantle. Could have had two assists as well. Could have won, but I'll take a point, well-deserved.
WFMB: Fremantle United have this kid who's eligable for Under 18's, but is so good he plays in reserves. He's a great player, but he's an arrogant douchebag, although I might be as well if my parents had decided to name me Madison. No, you did not misread.

Anyway, he kept fouling me all game today, stuck his studs into my ankle, tried to elbow me off the ball and then tried to trip me up. Our 28 year-old, tank, 6 foot 2 captain saw the latter and told him he'd put him on his ass if he tried any other shit. He did and sure enough, our skipper put the fuckwit on his ass. And won a free-kick when it should've been theres. Madison didn't trie any other shit for the rest of the game.

Just got mine 2 weeks ago. Have you been doing lessons with a parent, or with an actual instructor? Either way, just treat it as any other drive. They're not going to get you to do anything you haven't already done. And just watch out for Stop Signs :p. I missed one, nearly cost me. :lol:

In my driving test I stalled it as soon as I reversed out of the parking spot :lol: Aside from that, make sure you check your blind spots at every possible opportunity, that gives driving instructors major hard-ons.

That and Rear View. Look at your Rear View mirror more than you look at the road ahead of you.

Alright thanks for the advice guys. Yeah I've been driving with Dad but I've had about 2 and a half hours with a proper instructor, and he kept going on about blind spots and rear vision mirror.

It's ironic for me that you're anxious about getting your licence on Tuesday, I'm anxious about losing mine on Wednesday. :lol:

Always wanted to play this, i loved playing at school... just a pity i can't throw a frisbee to save my mother's soul.

two weeks ago i couldn't throw very well at all (forehands especially). have been practicing a couple of times a week & i'm so much more confident now. my short game is getting to the point where i'm comfortable playing handler, so a bit more practice with the short game & then i'll focus on my long-distance throws (aka the money shots). realistically though, the first couple of weeks i did eff all throwing & used my athletic abilities to be a primary cut kinda guy, and score all the points (basically the receiver). the first week i threw it twice, the second a few more times. just get yourself to a game, and the frisbee crowd are all awesome people and love rookies & love helping them out. once you have a few games, you'll be absolutely hooked - it's such an awesome game. floats boats n shizz.

11mv - do you play regularly? hopefully i'll be able to join the uni team & head to uni games next year.

also farrand - go have a round or two of disc golf. it's a good lead-in to ultimate. i've been playing a couple of times a week for the last few weeks, it's heaps of fun also. will definately learn to throw a frisbee (albeit they are completely different discs between dg & ultimate).
