Whereas my cousins are mostly Leeds fans. Blackpool play Leeds soon, so I'm expecting a lot of facebook banter from them this week. My family is about to become separated from a lot more than just distance

wfmb: how well terrigal beer garden has been done up. ever since they got rid of largo (rip), the replacement was so shit. now they've finally turned the joint into an unreal, laid back, suitable place. super impressed, having not been there for at least a year (while previously spending way too much time there)

I look forward to a months time when that Sunday Morning enthusiasm wears off. one of my really good mates is an apprentice greenskeeper. probably a year out from getting his trade. i purposely don't go near him when i hear that people have done burnouts and tore up a green - he's always in the foulest mood ever. i eagerly anticipate your rant about it in wgmg threads.

You get paid on a Tuesday? Odd pay day. seems odd to me also. every place i've worked has had a pay week of wednesday-tuesday, so pays get processed on wednesdays. if guys at our work are in the same bank as the company (which i coiincidentally am) we can have our money by wednesday arvo. most people can access their pays on thursdays, and some fridays. just depends on how quick/slow the banks can process the interchange. i always allow for worst case scenario that i'll be able to access my money on friday at the latest, so all my direct deposits happen on fridays - and whatever overtime pay i have is my free money (aka goes to eating out, buying a jersey, buying a toy or if big enough helping repay our car loan some more), which after setting budgets with the mrs is somewhere between $50-200 depending on how big my week has been.

Yeah, most places will have a pay week from Monday to Sunday inclusive and then the time sheets are processed so that you're paid on a Wednesday.

Quote:Apparently there's a gang of teenage hoodlums that hang out on the opposite bank of the river to the third tee, and have been known to steal pins and tombstones off the course. I did that on schoolies  I'm pretty sure they are still at my mother's house somewhere.

WFMB: Band of Brothers, just finished it for the first time then. It's amazingly well put together and actually very moving at times, really reinforces how lucky we are to have avoided suffering any of that.

All the actors were superb, everything was shot stunningly, just an excellent production of that story.
