I wear Ray Bans at work. I've been through 4 pairs of sunnies this year. My Ray Bans have lasted almost 6 months (touch wood).

They're significantly more robust than other sunglasses and don't scratch as easy.

Yeah, but while you spend $500 on Ray Bans I go through four pairs of $30 sunglasses and I'm still $380 ahead...

I exaggerate. They've got carbon fiber frames for about $400.

The only time i've spent a decent amount of money on sunglasses was for cricket purposes. And even then that's not without risks...

My Ray Bans were $120 :) They're also tax deductible being that they are considered to be safety gear by certain principal contractors :)
