WFMB: My Uni results. 2 distinctions and a credit. Very pleased.

My parents are conservative and religious, as is my grandmother.

Whenever they complain about something I post on Facebook, I remind them that I'm an adult and capable of making decisions regarding my own thoughts and actions.

Perhaps that you are unable to have that same conviction says something about the validity of your mothers concern.

It's not quite the same when you still live under their roof and need to keep an appropriate level of respect. Also, I'm not in the business of trying to upset people just because I have an opinion. Generally I try to keep my social media displays fairly neutral to keep my life simple.

So simple and neutral that you had to block your own mother from seeing your profile due to the excessive shame she experiences.

I didn't post what she saw, I was tagged in it. I blocked her again because in the end, it keeps our relationship in a better condition. That's pretty simple if you ask me.

World politics thread

WFMB: played my first game of action ball tonight. It's pretty much just indoor mixed netball.
We lost 32-36 but I had a blinder considering I've only ever kicked netballs before. Really, really enjoyed it.

WFMB: Got a blackout in Balmain at around 8.30pm while I was at work. Whole pub, pitch black, save for a couple of emergency lights. Get knocked off at 11pm when it becomes apparent the electricity wasn't coming back on. Grabbed a pizza and waltzed on home. :lol:

The downside is I only got paid for 2.5 hours. Although we were allowed to knock back a few beers, so not too bad. :lol:

Fairly sure you're supposed to be paid for 3.

WFMB: I've wanted a swag for years, and the Mrs has always hated on the idea, but she got me one for my birthday. The only downside was I was home when it was delivered, and my birthday isn't for a month, so the surprise isn't there and apparently I'm in trouble for being there when it was delivered :lol:

WFMB: Christened my new boots with a 4 goal haul on Friday night.

All types too. A header, a chip, a blast and a placement past the keeper.

Should retire now I suppose. Can't get much better than that for me.
