WFMB: John Lennox (A Christian scientist who I have a lot of time for) did a seminar on the mixture of God and Science tonight. Hopefully a video is released. His debates with Dawkins make for some of the best viewing I've come across on the topic.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Hitchens and Dawkins, I don't think he's debated Harris, if he has I would love a link

Certainly makes Pell look like the complete moron that he is.

Pell destroyed himself v Dawkins, I pray for the day that Sam Harris goes on Q&A

The reason that Lennox does well is that he is affable and stays very far away from matters that lead other apologetics into intellectual dishonesty and targetable cognitive dissonance.
If you want to have a laugh, have a look at some Sye Ten Bruggencate debates.

I retract my previous statement. I'm watching Hitch vs Lennox again, and John has Hitch's head in the guillotine from his first address.

Nobody will ever replace Hitch :( Really? His neurosecience/philosophy background really blows people out of the water. His example of brain damage/the afterlife was probably the best I've heard (was against a Jewish fellow named Wolfe I believe) As much as I liked Hitch's wit and humour, he was a journalist - not a scientist. This affected him in his debates IMO

Watch it yourself  If you understand what Lennox is saying, he carves Hitch to pieces. Going to rematch the Dawkins one tonight, perhaps that one was the one I was thinking of where Lennox was actually stretched.
