It's a matter of morals and circumstance. It might be wrong to kill another person. But if I can kill a person to save the life of two people then I'd think about it.

But we base our morals on our own accepted standards - compassion, reason, freedom etc.

But others might not view that as right, for thousands of years civilisations had slavery, I doubt they considered it an evil act, but now we do.

For some countries having multiple lovers is not wrong, in my view it is.

How do we tell who is right or wrong with nothing to base it off but our culture and history.

I don't think their caps would start at zero because they've represented the country before. Non-'FIFA approved' matches still count as caps. They just allow switching allegiances for those who are eligible. So I wouldn't think that their cap count would start from 0.

I don't think Spain would ever let FIFA approve a Catalonia team and run the risk of losing many of their best players.

Oh, I see what you meant about the caps going back to zero now. Yes, they would start from zero. But in say, the case of Xavi, who's played in 10 previous games for Catalonia he would be on 11 caps for his first official game for Catalonia.

David Silva would be able to play for the Canary Islands I would think. In the case of Serbia and Montenegro splitting up, Mirko Vucinic represented S&M 5 times before turning out for Montenegro so I assume this would be no different.
