Most of those ones would place. All the weird stuff generally happens around Nov-Jan because that's when all the 'casual' drinkers who don't really go out during the year hit the town and either aren't aware of etiquette or get so fucked up that they're incapable of following it.

Last night I got called "racist" by an Aboriginal patron because I told him off for tipping his drink out over the bar into my freshly cleaned ice well. I also had a patron ask for "water please, with crushed ice" - yeah, because I'm going to crush ice for a drink I can't charge for.

A few months back I had a guy ask if there was somewhere he could shoot up.

We've had a guy piss in the fire escape because he couldn't find the toilet (the fire escape door locks behind you, so he couldn't get back in).

I've had a guy try and haggle with me over 20 cents for a drink.

I've had a guy whip out his cock AT THE BAR and start to urinate. I've also had a chick giving the guy next to her a trouser tug while sitting at the bar.

You regularly have guys just spark up a cigarette inside. One guy's threatened to stab me because I told him to put it out.

We had a sudanese function back in october, our bussy was walking through the crowd with glasses in one hand and a fucking BASEBALL BAT in the other hand, and guys were STILL trying to start fights with him.

How do you deal with patrons who light up 'electronic' cigarettes? A little while back, we had a bloke 'light one up', and I politely asked him to put it away, and he gave the whole 'Oh, but it's not really a cigarette' excuse. Not being entirely familiar with the rules regarding electronic cigarettes, I basically told him the 'no smoking rule applies to all forms of 'smoking'. He tried to argue with me, and when I got fed up at him and told him to put it out otherwise I'd get security to deal with him he totally cracked the shits at me and called me a whole bunch of names. :lol: (Which did him no favours at all when I went to get security). :lol:

I've also had an American use the 'Oh, but in America...' excuse when he was caught smoking in the pub. :lol:

We've had police refuse call-outs because "there's too many of them". No shit.

E-cigarettes I generally decide depending whether they're designed to look like other smoking paraphernalia - if it looks like a cigarette or cigar or whatever I ask them to put it away, otherwise I just let it go. The water vapor they emit never hurt anyone. Failure to comply does result in security being involved though.
