imnofreak wrote:Ok, again, the Bundesliga is better than the Eredivisie. Nobody is debating that. But the Dutch league is obviously GOOD and COMPETITIVE, otherwise their wouldnt have been Dutch teams in the semis in the last 5 years. And they wouldnt be given two spots in the most prestigious club competition in the world if they were 'shit'.
Bundesliga = Very strong league (shown by their UEFA Ranking)
Eredivisie = Good league (Shown by their UEFA Ranking) WRONG, its not competitive is recent times. you cant count 4 seasons ago as recent. teams change every year. I guarantee you there would not be more than 3 or 4 players in that team that made it to the semi's. If you want to compare you comapre to this season or the last. or perhaps if you are very desperate 07/08 (but thats pushing it). So like i said. Hamburg, and werder were in the Finals and semi's, and bayern CL quarters (against champions Barca). This season 3 bundesliga teams still competeing for finals spots in Very hard groups. Dutch teams have not at all been competitive in the last 3-4 seasons. Sorry. No Doubt the dutch league used to be competitive, not denying that one bit. But now in this money orientated world, players will follow the trail of money and at the Moment the dutch league cant compete and it doesn't have the financial stem, the other big leagues do. Bundesliga has HUGE sponsorship deals Huge. Edited by seriously: 4/12/2009 11:35:43 PM

Alright, seeing as we're looking at Europa League: Ajax are unbeaten and topping their group this year. Heerenveen and Hertha are close to each other in their group, with Heerenveen with an easier match against Ventspills, things could go either way, but they are CLOSE. (close is the key word, in case you missed it) Twente are 2nd in their group. PSV are unbeaten and topping their group this year. Werder and Hamburg are also topping their groups. (though not unbeaten). Again, looks like the leagues are CLOSE. Last season: Ajax beat Fiorentina to make it to the R16, before losing 4-3 to Marseille in quarters. Hardly shit. 07/08: PSV Made it to the quarter finals, defeating Tottenham along the way. So much for Dutch teams being pwned by top 6 EPL. Edited by imnofreak: 4/12/2009 11:45:47 PM

Edited by imnofreak: 4/12/2009 11:45:47 PM the same tottenham, that didnt give a fuck about the uefa cup? and fielded 19-20 yo? Second. Im sure there was a far greater benefit for tottenham to finish higher in the league than compete in the uefa cup. Thats the benefit of being in a big league. You would have got more financial gain from finishing higher in the league (splot TV earnings) than competeing int he then Uefa cup. Also tottenham's wasnt doing well in the league at that time and were in danger of relegation. And about last season? Um didnt i just say Werder and Hamburg made it to the semis (where they faced off) otherwise it would have been both german teams in the final? so who cares if Ajax made it to the last 16. THis season: Champions league: 3 german teams still competeing for final places Europa league: Werder and Hamburg already qualified and werder was unbeaten WHICH included a La liga team. Hertha need 1 point to qualify. Sorry dutch teams dont evne compare. Twente are currently leading the erd and they didnt even get close to fener. and No teams left in CL. TOTTENHAM: Robinson 6, Chimbonda 6, Woodgate 7, King 6 (Lennon 6), Lee 5 (Bent 6), Jenas 6, Zokora 6, Huddlestone 7, Malbranque 7, Berbatov 6, Keane 7 (O'Hara 5).
Yeah, sounds like 19-20yos to me.
Do you not even research your facts??

Do you not even research your facts?? eh? Are you talking about last season because i remember they just fielded 20 yos. it was either them or villa, but im pretty sure it was tottenham. Does it matter anyhow? Wer are talking about the current competitivness of Bundesliga and erd teams. And erd sucks atm. No teams in CL, and Struggling to to get 2 though the group stages in Europa. hence Erd sucks. Last seaoson they sucked as well. So what argument you got left? Just thought I'd refresh your memory: Having multiple teams topping their groups in the Europa League undefeated is hardly 'shit' or 'sucks'

Ok this is the last thing im going to say.
look at 07-08, 08-09 and THis season. Look at the Uefa cup and Champions league. Compare Groups and reaching the finals between the Two leagues. Then get back to me. In fact Bundesliga far outperformed probably every single league in the Uefa cup. and Did far better than most leagues (except the top 3) in the CL.
Erd didnt even come close. Case closed. Erd is shyte (compared to bundesliga). I think you should watch more of it..
Big shit if they topped group, I guarantee you the German teams will outperform them in the finals. thye always reach the Quarters at least. Erd teams havent done so in >3 years.
Do you think if werder faced PSV, PSV would stand a chance? Your having a laugh.
