While you are at it, maybe you could write to Sydney Olympic and ask them why they dont have squad listings yet?

http://www.sydneyolympicfc.com/content/view/190/103/

The season is only a few weeks away and there is zero content.

the super league is going to very interesting this year. that is a bloody good result by spirit fc. they beat us 4-2. and drew against olympic. i watched their final against Parramatta last season and they were impressive. i think they have been promoted in every season for the last 3 years. so i expect them to be up there with parramatta as they are always up there. i expect macathur to come back strong after a dissapointing last season,

02.02.10 11:17

Bankstown City's new signing Scott Thomas (left)
NSW Premier League side Bankstown City have agreed to terms with recruiting former Manly United midfielder Scott Thomas for season 2010.
The industrial midfielder spent the past few seasons playing in the NSW Premier League with Manly United and the West Sydney Berries also, following his time in the old National Soccer League.

The 35-year-old will link up with Player/Manager Peter Tsekenis as Bankstown hope to once again relive the glory days in lifting up some silverware in 2010.

Thomas joins new recruits Almir Dizdaric from the Bonnyrigg White Eagles, goalkeeper Robert Napoleone from Inter Lions and youngster Castano Agero .

Cameron Jones hopes to shine with the Rockdale City Suns
02.02.10 15:17

Rockdale City Suns' Cameron Jones is gearing up for the 2010 NSW Premier League season
With years of NSW Premier League experience behind him and an endless work rate to match, Rockdale City Suns will undoubtedly be looking for Cameron Jones to help them stay in the top flight of NSW football in 2010.
Having played for clubs such as A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers, Manly United and the West Sydney Berries in the past, the midfielder knows what it takes to play at such a high level. After his short half year stint with the Suns in 2009, Jones is hungry to play NSW Premier League football yet again.

A Rockdale City Suns player at heart, Jones left the Suns to join the Tigers in 2005 in his search to continue playing NSW Premier League football.

Now at 28 and after five years away from his beloved club, Jones is back and ready to show why Rockdale City Suns are a force to be reckoned with.

"I love being back at the Rockdale City Suns. It took me a while to return here but now that I’m back I am really enjoying it and ready to show we mean business,” he said.

“It’s a very exciting time at the club, with the new ground and being back in the NSW Premier League; it’s a new era and I love being a part of it all.”

Jones’ vision, rock-solid defence and ability to snatch goals when most needed played a key role in Rockdale’s promotion from the NSW Super League to the NSW Premier League in 2009.

However, with the first round clash against last season’s NSW Premier League Premiers, Sydney United, just weeks away “Jonesy” knows his team has their work cut out this season.

“Only time will tell as to how well we do in the NSW Premier League,” said Jones humbly.

“We have put together a very impressive squad so we are quietly confident of a strong season.”

“Our goal is to re-establish ourselves as a strong competitor in the top flight for this first season and whatever happens after is a bonus,” he continued.

The fact that the Suns are an unknown entity could be one of the biggest strengths for the club according to the 28-year-old. He believes Rockdale have what it takes to play “free flowing football” and the ability to cause surprises despite the high level of competition they face.

“No one really knows what we are going to bring to the table in 2010,” said Jones.

"You could say no one is expecting much from us, which is fine,” he added.

Jones’ assumption may be right; however, if pre-season results are anything to go by, NSW Premier League clubs may want to start thinking twice before writing off the Rockdale City Suns too early.

Their solid win over Preston, A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers and Bankstown (2-1), along with their surprise draw with Sydney Olympic and Marconi in recent weeks showed they’re certainly not around to make up the numbers that’s for sure.

Although they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of a strong Bonnyrigg White Eagles outfit, the Suns learnt valuable lessons from the match.

“The Bonnyrigg match was a great measuring stick for us to see where we are at with our preparations for 2010,” he said.

Jones was quick to add that defeat or no defeat, the Suns would be ready for the start of the season.

“We’ve started ramping up the fitness aspect recently and there’s no doubt we’ll be in peak condition and ready to face Sydney United come round one,” he said.

With Jones’ experience, dedication and vision from midfield an ever inspiring force, the Sun’s may just have what it takes to cause some major surprises in 2010. Only time will tell.

Sydney Olympic complete Ramirez signing
03.02.10 10:09

Sydney Olympic President George Giannaros shown with new Blues recruit Cedric Ramirez
Sydney Olympic has officially completed the signing of French striker Cedric Ramirez.
The former FC Lorient forward has impressed first grade coach Pat Marando during his trial stint at the club and he decided to offer him a permanent position on the team for the 2010 season.

Ramirez, 26, said: I’m really happy to have signed with Sydney Olympic. I know about the history of this club and the great players that have played here. I’m looking forward to the season.”

I didn't realise this was such a hard concept to grasp for some people. Sydney United are my club always have been my club and always will be. Sydney Rovers are the club I will be supporting when they come into the A-League. Since they will never play in the same league as each other and the only chance to come up against each other would be in a cup comp or pre-season friendlies I don't see the big deal. If they did play against eachother Sydney United would win my support anyway.

Sydney Rovers are the club I will be supporting when they come into the A-League. Since they will never play in the same league as each other and the only chance to come up against each other would be in a cup comp or pre-season friendlies I don't see the big deal. If they did play against eachother Sydney United would win my support anyway.

one club. one love.

how can you support something, that hasnt even gone off the ground yet, hasnt kicked a ball yet, no attachment too??

I have an attachment because they are a club in the A-League that's in Western Sydney. I support them because I support Australian Football.

Im amazed at these sudden arrival on the forums that can only one love one club and refuse to follow the top level in the country. It reminds me of all the "bogans" or "skips" telling the Greeks, Italian or "wogs' that they cant want both Australia and the country of their parents to do well at the World Cup.

You say I have no idea about the history and the meaning of the club. My Grandfather was there building King Tom. He is a foundation member of the club. My father has been going to games since he was in a stroller and is a member of the club. I have been going to games since I can remember and am a member of the club. Sydney Croatia is in my blood and will continue to be until the day I cease to exist. Don't you dare question my love for my club you fucking internet hero. All you do is blab about your great Sydney Olympic when they are a 2nd rate club now that can't even make the semis of the NSWPL. Haven't won a title since 2001 and haven't made a Grand Final since 2002. Your "Olympic Ultras" are a pathetic group of guys who think they are heroes because they have a fucking Facebook group. Seriously Facebook. That's a poor way to measure success. The only way to measure the success of a club is on the field and in the last 10 years out of our 2 clubs the more successful is Sydney Croatia by far.

but then again you have a sydney rovers sig??

I didn't realise this was such a hard concept to grasp for some people. Sydney United are my club always have been my club and always will be. Sydney Rovers are the club I will be supporting when they come into the A-League. Since they will never play in the same league as each other and the only chance to come up against each other would be in a cup comp or pre-season friendlies I don't see the big deal.
