If you want people to actually believe your bullshit don;t make it so fanciful and un realistic.

We shouldn't be so quick to critize his bullshit, he's given it 4 years before it occurs..

It's not about the timeframe. It's about the fact that Frank Lowy and the FFA won't let those teams into a B-League. Simple as that.

yeah I get that. Read what I said, it was tounge in cheek.

Yeah my bad on that one.

B-league wont happen for another 10 years, and the way the a-league crowds are falling who knows if there ever will be a B-league...

Nah, I'm interested in seeing how many times PAOKTZI will return to post variations of the rumour with different teams and start dates.

Whilst I don't give any weight to this idea getting off the ground, it's worth noting that if/when we lose the world cup bid at the end of this year, it's quite possible that Lowy might step down, and that his successor may have alternative ideas about how to run the competition.

Even with a new man in charge, there's no way the FFA would allow 3 2nd division sides to 're-boot' in the West of Sydney within 2 years of the new A-League franchise opening for business in the same area.

I also find it amusing that Paoktzi's latest list is quite specific with regard to NSW and VIC, but has '2nd Brisbane team' rather than his previously predicted Brisbane City or the fairly obvious Brisbane Strikers.

And what if Australia wins the WC? Will Lowy be likely to step down?

How will Brisbane City get 7,000 when Brisbane Roar struggle to do so ???
I haven't heard so much crap since ... yesterday when I was at work !!!

I would like to see Oeania and Asia merge first ( surely that will happen ??!! ) then see if the HAL puts a +1 cap on overseas players like the ACL do for all non-AUS and non-NZL players.

This might help the 'elite' players from New Caledonia , Solomon Islands etc get a taste of professional football.
It would help struggling nations and give the region more exposure.

The top naturally gifted players would be likely to be cheaper than players from other regions which in turn could help keep ticket prices 'low' and drive gate sales/membership.

You only have to see what the Africans have been able to achieve in Europe to know that it is possible, that it can happen.

You look at the likes of Karembu, see what he's doing, who will take over from him ??
If there is no-one to do this then the momentum dies.

I seriously doubt it - he would have achieved what he set out to do and would most likely want to bask in the glory (quite rightly, because that would be a huge result for him and the game).

1 TEAM PROMOTED TO A-LEAGUE FROM SEASON 2014/2015

First and formost, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Second, most of these teams wont work.

Teams that wont: Auckland, Sutherland, Richmond, MetroStars, Syd Utd, Brisbane City, Syd Olympic, Sth Melbourne and Perth SC.
Reasons: Most of these areas arent viable, and for the former-NSL teams, they had there chance, we dont need those Ethnic clubs back in a national league.

Teams that may work:
Tasmania - It is a state that is overlooked by too many sports. Thay have a massive AFL following down there yet the AFL refuse to give them a team, it might be a good chance for the FFA to move in, but im sure as hell they wont be based out of fucking Devonport Oval, they have 2 perfectly good stadiums in the 2 major cities.

South Coast Wolves - Obviously a reincarnate of the Woolongong Wolves franchise. Ive heard Timmy Cahill would back and play for a team in the Woolongong region and they were a fairly successful team in the old NSL. If they do get backed by a Mr Cahill, i see them as a future franchise in the A-League.

I think in terms of a second league, its a long, long way away. Maybe after the 2022 world cup depending on interest and how we come out the other side of the WC (if we host it).
