Please move this across to Australian football where it belongs. Any football forum that does not include the 2nd tier of football as Australian Football loses all credibility as a vehicle for discussing football.

Not really Spathi. I have written shorter ones. I could have made it longer by pointing to recognised definitions of grass roots sports as being at the bottom of the sporting triangle or the FFA National Curriculum that calls 6-7 year olds the Grass Roots of football and I even could have pointed to the FFA National Curriculum that groups the A-League, NYL and State Premier Leagues at the elite end of Australian football but I decided not to.

I know you weren't having a dig at me, I just used your response as a vehicle to point out the sheer stupidity of what appears to be the "official" view on this matter.
