There's nothing wrong with supporting the A-League, or any of it's members, but don't constantly feel the need to try and bring down the NSL. It makes you no better than those you are attempting to discredit.

My opinion may be somewhat skewed - but it appears to me, as I said before, that the vast majority of the recent pro-Olympic traffic has been just that "pro-Olympic", enthusiastic, supportive, optimistic about the future endeavours of the club, etc. The negative, A-League bashing only begins in response to the calls for it to be stuck in grass roots, or combined onto one thread...

Anyone bitching about the state leagues being better than the A-League, or the clubs being more important - is living a joke.

Similarly though, anyone dismissing the non-A-League sides as a joke or a thing of the past, or slagging off the NSL (rather than Soccer Australia), is being incredibly disrespectful to the very basic of the current league.

If we are head-to-head we cannot move forward - for that we need to be side-by-side.

And I agree and I will admit once I was very anti NSL and Soccer Australia but I have realised that was wrong and what we have now is built on what these guys did and love going down to places like King Tom for a game.

Indeed SA was a joke. But being young at the time I didn't realise that far I just enjoyed my football. I was swayed by opinion when the A-League started but I now realise what the NSL and NSL clubs paved the way for and have interacted with some brilliant NSL fans in you, sydcro and chris.
