Fortunately, Melbourne also has the highest-grade quality heroin available in the free world, rendering even the most soul-sucking, mind numbing AFL season relatively ease to cope with. that's plagiarism, ye thieving little cu nt. I never claimed it as my own work did I.... however using that c word is probably not the best thing to do. Understand copyright laws before trying to dictate them. it's my work, and you didn't credit me. remove it from your posts please. And how do you plan on proving it and go stick it up your arse i'm not referancing it and I never said it was my work...

Quote:that's plagiarism, ye thieving little cunt. Far be it for me to point this out, and sorry to repeat it...but isn't that the magical four-letter-get-yourself-banned word? See, that's the thing with the internet...you can claim to be anybody, doing anything, and there's no way to prove otherwise or confirm.

His name is Mitch Nilsson [Check spelling on the last name?] I'm not sure where he exactly plays, but he's been representing Queensland for a while, in competitions where everyone is older, he seems to have big wraps on him. He's got his head on his shoulders though.

Yeah, I thought you were from QLD. A guy I play with just got signed last week (actually it was announced last week), thought maybe we went to the same High School :P
And yes, that's the correct spelling.

And yes, that's the correct spelling. This was "Announced" maybe two weeks ago, I think, but I only just remembered it then. Your in Sydney, aren't you? :-k

I can't remember which team signed Mitch, but he flew over and signed, and he's coming back to finish school, and then heading back over. It could be? Not sure?

He wouldnt have flown over to the states just to sign the contract. Clubs have scouts in Australia, and all deals are stitched up here.
And being signed by the yankees isnt any more prestigious than getting signed by Kansas City.

What about boston, arent they up there? Or you just mean like, the west ham academy is as good as any other academy out there, just cause you have a top club doent mean you have a top academy.

Quote:Or you just mean like, the west ham academy is as good as any other academy out there, just cause you have a top club doent mean you have a top academy. hmmm kinda... There's the Major Leagues (American and National) then there are the 'Minor Leagues' which are divided into 6 tiers (AAA, AA, High A, Middle A, Low A and Rookie A) each having 2 or 3 leagues running parallel just like the Majors. Now, Aussie kids that sign will end up in Rookie A - the lowest tier, or some other off-shore developmental league such as Venezuela. Since the purpose of the minors is to act as feeders to the Major League clubs, these leagues are about development more than competition - getting more competitive as you progress higher. This is the 'farm system' which football is yet to adapt on a large scale - or there are 'informal' instances. Anyway, as a generalisation, theres no more glamour or advantage in signing with any particular club, because you start out at the bottom of the pile, and IF you are successful and begin to climb the ranks, its highly likely you'll be traded at least once. And the Yankees are notorious for having poor minor league teams(rosters) anyway - since they literally buy their major leaguers.
