The 20-year-old was part of the West Sydney Berries setup in 2009 where he played with the club’s Grade 20 squad but then got his chance through senior coach John Calleja and played three matches in the NSW Premier League. It was there Pavlovic was recognized by the Jets who recruited the promising youngster to its youth league side and scored a couple of goals. Senior Newcastle Jets coach Branko Culina then gave the Croatian born striker his chance to experience senior football by playing a full match in the club’s 2-1 loss to Adelaide United at EnergyAustralia Stadium in the final Hyundai A-League match of the season. Pavlovic will add more spark to United’s attack who already boost the likes of Elsid Barkhousir, Luka Glavas and Player/Coach David Zdrilic. Pavlovic could feature in this weekend’s round 6 clash against the Bonnyrigg White Eagles. -By Mark Stavroulakis http://www.nswpl.com.au/index.php?id=554&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=3511&tx_ttnews[backPid]=537&cHash=d61b7f0576
