My England keeper just missed golden chance to grab an international hat-trick/brace.
Playing the Faroes, already 5-0 up, when the regular penalty taker missed a pen (baggioed it), so I set the keeper to take them if we got anymore.
65th minute we got one. Keeper calmly slots it into the corner.
Only 5 minutes later, we got another one.
He hit the bar. In the same highlight, my AMC got a FK and smashed it home. Apparently this counts as "knocking in the rebound" for the game engine/media.
I'd set him to go up for corners, and he gets a chance later on, he runs into the area, gets to the 6 yard box just as the ball gets kicked. Arcs beautifully right to the keeper, he's completely unmarked. All the time in the world, and he nods it just over.
Head in hands stuff.

Well, it was a missed penalty after he'd scored one already, and a free header from inside the 6 yard box.

Hey mack, you were talking about editing the game mid save before weren't you? I want to fix up QPR's rivals, what program did you use?

He's a keeper though, not a striker or composed CB...

I might keep a hold of that...might come in handy for keeping things up to date in some games.
EDIT: That link takes you to a fileshare website that doesn't actually have the download on it. Reckon you could chuck it on rapidshare or something, mack?

Lost lost my long winning streak to fucking City. 1-1 at HT with 2 of my players injured, come out playing shit, 2-1, then CB decides to smash a volley, from outside the area no less, right past our keeper for an og. They scored another after that game over.
And would you not believe it, but remember than thing where I think afro had his keeper sent off for a "handball" after he caught the ball and walked out of the area. Yep. My keeper got sent off for doing it. And one of the subs injured on top of that.
Wait! It was only the league cup 1st round. League winning streak continues \o/

Fucking hell. we must have hired the same mob that built Wembley. Another 4 month delay makes it over a year from when it's supposed to be opened.

Out of the FA Cup in the first round. Swansea. Mid-table in the championship, managed to put 4 past my EPL topping FC United team who have only lost 1 game all season to Manchester City in the League Cup, after we had scored 3 in the first half hour.
Their comeback started when some random 21 year old who has scored about 4 goals in his entire career, who came to Swansea on a free after being released from Burnley, puts a 30 yard curling thunderbolt into the top corner for his first ever goal for the club.
And of course the obligatory injury to one of my strikers after I'd used all 3 subs.
REALIZM YO!

I just had one that made me chuckle. Celta manager looking to out-of-favour Jesus. Celta manager Ricard is believed to be interested in securing the services of Jesus (who wouldn't?)
Jesus, who is valued at 1.7m, currently has 2 years remaining on his £450pw deal at El Molinon.

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Ricard chases Jesus!
Lost our league stream to goddamn Liverpool. Game decided being undefeated after 20 matches isn't worth shit, made them favourites, team played like fucking shit, only 3 shots all game, none on target, lost after a 84th minute scramble from a corner.

"Frei backs young boys" Just had a great one then..."Dicks goes in strong on Seaman" Thankyou Waitakere United friendly  Holy shit...I think I just found the best name EVER in FM...This may have come up before, but I searched the magic word and found a player by the name of Ivan Buonocunto...That's fucking fantastic. Now I just needs to arrange a game between my team and whoever the fuck Itala are and we could have some fucking hilarious match commentaries...."Dicks goes in strong on Buonocunto" Or in english...."dicks goes in stong on goodcunt"
Actually, they tell me that Buono can also mean 'tasty'...So "Dicks goes in strong on tastycunt"...this just gets better and better!

First full season with QPR, finished 5th. Was struggling for a while there, but I got my away tactics right, and we never looked back. Won the FA Cup too, epic match against Chelsea, our arch rivals, finished 2-1. Could have been 5-5, so many close chances.

You know, some pictures sum in everything in one simple image. I'd like to think this screenshot is pretty much the culmination of everything I'd wanted to achieve 1,227 hours ago when I first loaded this game. Result.

I've got 6 epl games left plus the CL Semi-Final and potential final, and I'm already thinking about next year.
Released all the shit youth players who never amount to anything, went through the squad, in a spreadsheet, listing the position, then all the players in that position, their depth position (1st choice, 2nd, 3rd etc), how many years they probably have left, and if I'm going to sell or keep them. I may do a big post showing all my current players.
I'm definitely going to need a world class CB, as a future replacement for my older current CB, and as a 3rd choice backup for the next season or 2. I need a quality defensive MC for backup and a 2nd choice if I want to play a 4-2-3-1 or similar formation with 2 defensive mids.
One of the ML's is leaving, he's good enough to be first choice at another club, but he's only 3rd choice now, but I got 1 million upfront, 10 million over 24 months, and another 10 million split for each game up to 50 games. \:d/
Old DM is leaving, he's growing old, contract running out, moving to another club on a bosman.
Released a 33 year old striker. Stats starting to go downhill.
DRL being sold for being shit. He's a John O'Shea type player but isn't even as good as O'Shea is.
Another DR is being sold, 21 year old, not really developed much (his stats are 12's to 15's across the board). Hull have stupidly agreed to the offer I sent out, 2.5 million over 24 months plus a 1 international game = 10 million clause. Luckily I'm the England manager so that's an easy 10 million. Idiots.
The final player leaving will be my FC United youth player, Utility defender David Morgan. Been at the club since a kid, being sold because his stats are poor for a 3rd choice CB, and his stats are poor for a 2nd/3rd choice DM/MC.
Aussie Steve Vidmar is only staying because he's 35 now and surely going to retire soon, I might get a decent coach out of it, and I'm not going to release him after this long.

Just beat France 2-0 with Mexico at the Confed Cup, absolutely dominated them. Excellent result, and we weren't even playing full strength.
