1950 UFO memo from FBI to Director Hoover details claim of alien bodies

A SINGLE-page FBI memo relaying a vague and unconfirmed report of flying saucers found in New Mexico in 1950 has become the most popular file in the bureau's electronic reading room.

The memo, dated March 22, 1950, was sent by FBI Washington, D.C. field office chief Guy Hottel to then-Director J. Edgar Hoover.

According to the FBI, the document was first made public in the late 1970s and more recently has been available in the "Vault," an electronic reading room launched by the agency in 2011, where it has become the most popular item, viewed nearly 1 million times. The Vault contains around 6,700 public documents.

Vaguely written, the memo describes a story told by an unnamed third party who claims an Air Force investigator reported that three flying saucers were recovered in New Mexico, though the memo doesn't say exactly where in the state.

The memo offers several bizarre details.

Inside each saucer, "each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture," according to the report.

"Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed fliers and test pilots."

The saucers were found in New Mexico because the government had a high-powered radar set up in the area and it is believed the radar interfered with the controlling mechanism of the UFOs, according to the informant.

The FBI filed the typed page neatly away 63 years ago at its headquarters and "no further evaluation was attempted."

The memo does not appear to be related to the 1947 case in Roswell, New Mexico when Air Force officials said they recovered a UFO, only later to recant and say it was a research balloon.

"For a few years after the Roswell incident, Director (J. Edgar) Hoover did order his agents - at the request of the Air Force - to verify any UFO sightings," the FBI said.

"That practice ended in July 1950, four months after the Hottel memo. Suggesting that our Washington Field Office didn't think enough of that flying saucer story to look into it."

Henry W. McElroy, Jr, retiring State Representative to New Hampshire, declared this week that former US President Eisenhower was briefed about the presence of extraterrestrial intelligent beings on Earth.

McElroy also said that the document he viewed while at the State Legislature made referrence to the opportunity for Eisenhower to meet the alien visitors

This new revelation could result in timely support for the August 2010 election on the Denver ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission.

The proposed commission would collect credible evidence and whistle-blower testimony regarding UFOs and visitors to Earth of extraterrestrial origin.

It would then share such evidence with the public through the Denver city government web site at no cost to the city budget. The aim of the commission is to brief the public with information previously viewed only by a privileged few.

'Something passed underneath us, quite close': Airbus A320 has close encounter with UFO

The Airprox report reveals that an alarmed pilot alerted traffic controllers to the presence of 'something' passing just 300-400 feet under his plane

A passenger aircraft above Scotland had a narrow miss with an unidentified flying object, a report by the UK Airprox Board has revealed.

The Airbus A320 was 4,000 feet above Glasgow when the incident occurred on a clear day at the beginning of December.

The report reveals that an alarmed pilot alerted traffic controllers to the presence of 'something' passing just 300-400 feet under his plane.

The pilot logged the risk of collision with the object, which did not appear on radar, as 'high'.

The aircraft involved was approaching Glasgow airport on 2 December 2012 when the incident happened, according to the BBC.

The plane was making its approach over the Baillieston area of the city with landing lights on.

The non-flying pilot reported seeing an object "loom ahead" at a range of about 100m.

The cockpit transcript reveals the immediate aftermath of the alleged near-miss with the A320 pilots reporting the object was "quite large" and "blue and yellow".

The pilot sought confirmation of anything in the area and air traffic control confirmed they had nothing on radar. The controller said that he was not talking to anyone else in that area and that nothing had shown up on radar.

According to the BBC, once the aircraft had landed, the pilot told Glasgow Aerodrome Controller: "We seemed to only miss it by a couple of hundred feet, it went directly beneath us. Wherever we were when we called it in it was within about 10 seconds. Couldn't tell what direction it was going but it went right underneath us."

The Airprox report concludes: "Investigation of the available surveillance sources was unable to trace any activity matching that described by the A320 pilot. Additionally there was no other information to indicate the presence or otherwise of activity in the area."

Former Project Bluebook Spokesman: Government Covering up UFO Details

Ironies upon ironies: During a public appearance at the National Atomic Testing Museum retired Air Force Col. Charles Halt, a former spokesman for the Air Force’s now defunct UFO “investigation” arm, Project Blue Book”, stated that the government is engaged in a cover-up regarding the existence of UFOs:

“Folks, there is an agency, a very close-held, compartmentalized agency that’s been investigating this for years, and there’s a very active role played by many of our intelligence agencies that probably don’t even know the details of what happens once they collect the data and forward it. It’s kind of scary, isn’t it?

“In the last couple of years, the British have released a ton of information, but has anybody ever seen what their conclusions were or heard anything about Bentwaters officially? When the documents were released, the timeframe when I was involved in the incident is missing — it’s gone missing. Nothing else is missing,” he said.

While it’s pretty much a fact that the government has covered up UFO reports for many years – even from their own people – most UFO buffs know that Project Blue Book itself was actually devoted to disinformation and aggressive “debunking” instead of investigation. Even the staff astronomer, Dr. J. Allen Hynek, complained of the extraordinary lengths to which the Air Force would go to discredit sightings. Of course, Hynek waited until his involvement was over to do so.

THREE passenger jets had a close encounter with UFOs above Britain’s Scientology HQ, a report has revealed.

Their pilots each saw “two flat, silver discs” as they lined up to land at Gatwick Airport — and some flew within 100ft.

Air traffic control staff then spotted a total of SIX UFOs on their radar before they suddenly vanished.

The close encounter above the Church of Scientology HQ in East Grinstead, West Sussex, on December 30 last year lasted a full seven minutes.

Oddly it emerged a day later that Scientologists — famously followed by Tom Cruise — carved a message to aliens in hills in New Mexico, US. The cult believes aliens inhabit human bodies.

Former MoD UFO investigator Nick Pope called the UK sightings “spectacular”, adding: “The evidence is first rate. The witnesses are experienced pilots and there is radar evidence to back up their stories.”

A probe by UK Airprox Board, which examines near misses, failed to find an explanation. Its report yesterday revealed how a Boeing 777 pilot raised the alarm at 8.53am after spotting “two flat silver discs”.

Minutes later a Boeing 767 and an Airbus 319 saw the same “saucer-like” shapes. The 777 crew said they looked “man-made” and “toy-like”.

Investigators considered explanations including that they were balloons or kites. But Mr Pope added: “None of the theories hold water.”

Airprox classified the encounter as level D — meaning it is unexplained.

UFO files: Airmen report 'blob' exploding near RAF

The incident was apparently observed by an air traffic controller, who followed it on radar, as well as two security personnel on the ground.
It is one of the most tantalising UFO sightings to emerge from a set of Ministry of Defence files released by the National Archives today.
Details are contained in a first person account from the air traffic controller, who had been working as shift supervisor at RAF Lyneham, near Chippenham, in Wiltshire, when the incident occurred.
He was helping two C-130 Hercules aircraft to land, when he saw a large, stationary “blob” on the radar screen. He contacted the pilots and directed them around it.
He then left the radar room and went upstairs to the “visual control room”, where he could still see the object on instruments

However, he could not see anything out of the windows, so he went back downstairs to the radar room.
Suddenly, he recalled, “the ‘blob’ burst and fragmented, shooting off in all directions at massive speed”.
Shortly afterwards, he received a call from an “agitated” airman on guard duty who had contacted air traffic control to report seeing a bright light to the east, which had burst, with fragments shooting off in all directions.
The account states: “He (the guard) said he had never seen anything travel so fast and it was definitely not an aircraft. His account caused the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up. Several minutes later another airman telephoned and gave a similar account.”
He said he reported the incident to the Ministry of Defence, first by telephone, and then in writing. The retired Flight Sergeant begins his account by stating that he is “one of the world’s biggest sceptics when it comes to UFOs.”
He also states that he had had almost 20 years experience of working on radar and “analysing the quirks” which they can produce, such as bird activity and atmospheric variation.
However, he adds, “I can offer no realistic explanation for what I saw, therefore it was literally an unidentified flying object”.
The incident occurred just before Christmas in 1994, or 1995 - the former officer could not recall. Details of the account are among the newly released files from 2007 to 2009, because in 2009, the retired officer and a UFO research group attempted to get information from the MoD on the issue.

Britain's Ministry of Defense finished up its release of almost 60 years' worth of UFO sighting reports on Friday with a bang: a 4,300-page cache of documents that describe strange sights over Stonehenge and Parliament, and lay out the reason why the ministry shut down its UFO desk three and a half years ago.
Thanks in part to the proliferation of camera phones, the number of UFO reports in the U.K. doubled in 2008, to 208 reports for the year, said David Clarke, a UFO historian who reviewed the latest files in a YouTube video. Then, in 2009, the pace of sightings tripled, to a running total of 643 reports by November of that year.


"That really did put a strain on the resources that the MoD had committed to this subject, and really led up to their decision to finally pull the plug on Britain's X-Files, simply because they just didn't have the resources to investigate these sightings, or to look at them in any detail," Clarke said. "So they just tended to be filed away."
That was basically what happened to the Stonehenge sighting: In January 2009, the ministry received several photographs that showed a speck in the sky over the millennia-old monument in Wiltshire. "I didn't see anything in the sky at the time, because I was focusing upon the stones," the witness wrote in an archived email. "Upon uploading them to my computer, though, I spotted the discoid shapes in the background. ... I'm sure you get this kind of thing every day! However, I'm very fond of my UFOs so needed to share them!"
The ministry wrote back, saying that it doesn't try to identify the source of UFO sightings "unless there is evidence of a potential threat to the United Kingdom." Trying to explain every sighting would be an "inappropriate" use of defense resources, the ministry said. A similar reply was sent to a witness who reported seeing "a craft that had green, red and white lights" hovering over the Houses of Parliament in February 2008.

Clarke said many of the mobile-phone snapshots sent in between late 2007 and late 2009, the period covered by Friday's document release, were of such poor quality that it was hard to tell what was going on. The "vast majority" of cases turned out to have down-to-earth explanations, he said. Here's a sampling of the highlights:
A police helicopter crew in Wales reported seeing a cluster of small, rotating objects in the sky in June 2008 — and when word got out about the sighting, the tabloid Sun newspaper heralded it as an "ALIEN ARMY." The ministry concluded that they were Chinese lanterns floating up from a nearby wedding party.
The Sun also trumpeted a story about a damaged wind turbine in North Lincolnshire in January 2009, quoting witnesses who reported that bright spheres of light were flashing in the sky when the turbine broke. "UFO HITS WIND TURBINE," The Sun proclaimed. The ministry declined to investigate, but a journalist at The Guardian said the lights were actually fireworks set off nearby to celebrate her father's 80th birthday. Experts said the turbine probably broke due to an unrelated mechanical failure.
A woman in Dorset reported seeing a "bright white fireball" come through her kitchen window in August 2009. She said the fireball fell into a carrier bag and disappeared in a flash of "blinding white sheet lightning." Clarke said the report matches the classic description of ball lightning, an electrical phenomenon that is not yet fully understood.
A schoolgirl in Altrincham sent the ministry a letter in January 2009, describing a set of small objects that she and her father saw flying over the family's garden. At the bottom of the letter, she drew a picture of an alien waving goodbye from a flying saucer. "Please send a letter telling me the answer. ... I have the right to know," she wrote. The UFO desk reported that the girl was sent a bag of goodies from the Royal Air Force.

"We have now come to the end of this program of release for the UFO files, and it is often said about UFOs that 'the truth is out there,'" Clarke said in the video, which was recorded amid the ministry's filing cabinets. "In my opinion, the truth is actually in here, in these files."

Mass UFO Sighting: Thousands Watch 'UFO' Hovering in Brazilian Skies during Protests

Thousands of people who participated in protests in Sao Paulo, Brazil, witnessed an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) hovering over the skies late on the evening of 17 June. One of the protestors recorded a video, which has been circulating on the Internet.

Sceptics believe the UFO is probably only a drone, controlled by a pilot on the ground.

Uploaded on YouTube by UFO Disclosure News (UFODI), the owner's comment's read: "I've seen many of them, but never could get them on video. This was filmed on June 17th about 5:30 pm. It was flying about 500 ft off the ground, hundreds of people saw the UFO. It was not wind and it was like nothing most people have ever seen. The location was Sao Paulo downtown, Largo da Batata."

Unfortunately, no other videos of the sighting are available at the moment. The YouTube user has confirmed that there is a search on for more recordings, explaining: "We are trying our outright best at getting another video and when we do! It will be a ground breaker."

Meanwhile, on the same day, in Pennsylvania, USA, truck drivers spotted a UFO as well. The case was reported on by American non-governmental organisation Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

The case file reads: "Driving tractor and trailer sounth in PA. Looked up and saw object hovering over mountain top. About that time other Truckers where heard on CB chatting about seeing the same thing. The object was quite a distance away but was still very visible. So actual size was very big. Not sure exact location however it was close to the Allegheny Tunnel."

Last week, two disc-shaped UFOs were photographed by a man from Berkshire. Also, a UFO report came from London when an object was spotted flying past in the background of a Russia Today news recording.

Another UFO was photographed in the skies above Muiderslot Castle outside Amsterdam earlier this month. In May, there were reports of UFOs photographed over mountains in Canada.

Aliens are most likely to be found on the icy moons of Saturn and Jupiter, scientists in the UK have claimed.

This follows the setting up of the UK Centre for Astrobiology, which has been launched to investigate whether there is life beyond Earth. The centre is examining life on Earth and has set up an underground laboratory in Yorkshire a kilometre below the surface to examine how life survives there and search for indicators of how this could extend to other planets, particularly Mars where it is now believed that life could exist below the surface because of its harsh conditions.
Professor Charles Cockrell, who leads the UK Centre for Astrobiology, insists that the search for other life means searching for other micro-organisms, a search which has so far drawn a complete blank. He said: “In terms of life beyond the Earth, astrobiology is still a field that is trying to understand whether the Earth is a unique example of life or whether we might find life elsewhere.”
The official launch of the centre today sparked a debate among leading scientists, who believe that the search for other life should be extended to the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn, rather than focused on Mars as has been done previously.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme Dr Robert Pappalardo, Senior Research Scientist in the Planetary Science section at NASA said: “For reasons I don’t really understand the wider solar system and the potential for life there has not been high priority.”
He raised concerns about explorations of the icy moons of Jupiter, known as the Europa Mission, being delayed by NASA in favour of exploring Mars instead.

Dr Pappalardo added: “I worry that if Europa exploration is delayed, but then finally it happens some day, we might look back and say 'why didn't we do that sooner?' Imagine 50 years from now we get a lander there and find signs of life. All this time we'll have been looking in the wrong place.”
NASA’s latest project to identify, capture and relocate an asteroid have also been criticised for the cost – 2014 budget proposals include $100 million to get the asteroid project up and running, money some believe would be better spent on exploring wider space.
Professor Andrew Coates, head of planetary science at UCL’s Mullard Space Science Laboratory said while the NASA projects sound fantastic, they are expensive and he feels they could be “missing out on some of the basic science and exploration NASA should be doing.”
The European Space Agency is planning to investigate the possibility of life on Jupiter, with its Jupiter Icy moons Explorer (JUICE) mission set to investigate three of Jupiter’s moons in a mission that will start in 2022.
Professor Michelle Docherty, of Imperial College and lead investigator for the magnetometer that will fly on the mission told the programme: “What we want to understand is whether the moons of Jupiter have the environments you need to support life.
“You need there to be liquid water, you need there to be heat, you need stability over time and you need organic compounds. We think Ganymede Callisto and Europa have all of those, but we won't know until we get there.”

Near-death experiences have been a scientific mystery for decades

A mysterious surge of brain activity observed in dying rats may explain reports of near-death-experiences (NDEs), researchers claim.

Even after the animals' hearts stopped beating and no blood was reaching their brains, they appeared to show signs of conscious perception.

The study is the first to take a systematic look at the neurophysiological state of the dying brain after a cardiac arrest.

It suggests something happens at the brink of death that pushes the conscious brain to a high level of arousal.

This may trigger the visions and sensations associated with NDEs, scientists believe.

As many as a fifth of people who survive cardiac arrests report having had an other-worldly experience while being "clinically" dead.

Typically NDEs involve travelling through a tunnel towards an intense light or being separated from the body.

Others encounter long-departed loved ones or angels and undergo some kind of judgment of "life review".

Some emerge from NDEs as transformed individuals with a completely altered outlook on life, or a new belief in religion.

But many scientists believe near-death-experiences are nothing more than hallucinations induced by the effect of the brain shutting down.

The new research involved recording the electrical nerve impulses of anaesthetised rats whose hearts were artificially stopped.

Within 30 seconds after suffering a cardiac arrest, all the animals displayed a short-lived surge of widespread, highly synchronised brain activity.

"We were surprised by the high levels of activity," said Dr George Mashour, one of the US researchers from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

"In fact, at near-death many known electrical signatures of consciousness exceeded levels found in the waking state, suggesting that the brain is capable of well-organised electrical activity during the early stage of clinical death."

The findings are reported in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Previously it was assumed that brain activity ceases when the heart stops.

"This study tells us that reduction of oxygen or both oxygen and glucose during cardiac arrest can stimulate brain activity that is characteristic of conscious processing," said lead scientist Dr Jimo Borjigin, also from the University of Michigan.

"It also provides the first scientific framework for the near-death experiences reported by many cardiac arrest survivors."

British expert Dr Martin Coath, from the Cognition Institute at University of Plymouth, said: "This new research is genuinely interesting.

"But the conclusion that these are 'neural correlates of heightened conscious processing' isn't strongly supported, unless you take it to mean 'more of some types of activity that are associated with being awake' which is a bit of a stretch.

"As the induced cardiac arrest happens while the rat's brain is anaesthetised, the results show the response of an unconscious brain to critical lack of blood flow and oxygen.

"It is certainly interesting that this causes some types of activity in the brain to increase in a predictable and coordinated way well after the heart has stopped, but hardly surprising."

Dr David McGonigle, from University of Cardiff, said: "Do we know if animals experience 'consciousness'? Most philosophers and scientists are still at loggerheads over what the term refers to in humans, let alone in other species.

"While recent research now suggests that animals may indeed have the kind of autobiographical memories that humans possess, the kinds of memories that allow us to place ourselves in a certain time and place, it seems unlikely that near-death-experiences would necessarily be similar across species."

Busy year for UFO sightings

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Or, is it a spaceship? Whatever it is, it appears unidentified flying objects are on the rise.

Since 2000, there have been 13 UFO sightings reported to the Civil Aviation Authority, with three this year. Despite quite colourful initial reports, including one "with flames coming out of it" above Kimbolton in 2009, the CAA decided in all 13 sighting that there was not sufficient information to warrant formally investigating.

Ufocus NZ Research Network director Suzanne Hansen said most sightings were in the North Island, particularly around the Bay of Plenty.

"It's gone quite crazy in about the last three years. There's been a significant increase in the amount of people reporting UFOs to us and the quality of the sightings," she said.

Hansen said when someone reported a UFO they went through a process of elimination to establish whether it was identifiable, such as a helicopter, weather balloon or Chinese lantern.

In May, several people reported seeing "strange lights" in the sky above Christchurch, with videos appearing on YouTube. However, it turned out a family had released 10 lanterns.

Hansen said people would often get annoyed when they were told it their sighting was in fact, identifiable. "They want it to be alien life," she said.

New Zealand Skeptics spokeswoman Vicki Hyde said about 10 to 15 per cent of UFO sightings were never explained as there was not enough information.

"It's a huge jump to go from ‘I don't know what it is' to ‘it's an alien spacecraft with little green men'," she said.

"The suggestion of having intelligent life is such a huge game-changer that we need to have game-changing evidence."

KiwiSpace executive director Mark Mackay said unidentified flying objects were usually satellites or lanterns.

Pilot says cigar-shaped object flew straight for his A320 Airbus passenger jet

A PILOT has reported a close encounter with a "rugby ball-like" UFO that passed within just a few feet of his passenger jet.
The incident happened about 20 miles west of London’s Heathrow airport at around 6pm local time in July last year.
The pilot of the A320 Airbus saw the object flying straight for him and was so certain of a collision he ducked at the last minute, UK’s Sunday Telegraph reported.
He reported the close call to air traffic control and the incident was later investigated by the UK Airprox Board, which studies “near misses” in UK airspace.
“He was under the apprehension that they were on collision course with no time to react,” the Airprox report states. “His immediate reaction was to duck to the right and reach over to alert the FO (First Officer); there was no time to talk to alert him.”
The pilot told investigators the object was “cigar/rugby ball-like” in shape, bright silver and metallic.
According to the Sunday Telegraph, Airprox ran checks on data recordings but could find no other aircraft in the area at the time. Meteorological balloons and military aircraft were also ruled out.
The paper said the head of the UK National Air Traffic Control Services admitted in 2012 that one unexplained flying object was reported on average every month.

THE GOOGLE MOON VIEWER
Google Moon works in a similar way to Google Earth. It was launched in 2009 on the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing.

The landing site of each of the Apollo missions is shown on the satellite image, providing more information on each mission as the user zooms in.

The first version of Google Moon only included low-resolution satellite imagery of the entire moon, and when zoomed in too close, a Swiss cheese pattern would appear.

'The regularly spaced, circular promontory shapes which make up the seven points on the perfectly formed triangle wedge seem to be intelligently designed.

'To date, no other feature has ever been discovered which matches this shape on the moon, or any other planet observed by satellite or exploratory rover.

'The anomaly is so huge, it's possible it is some sort of moon base used as a facility for storing and launching alien UFO spacecraft.'

The same YouTube user also claims to have found a similar mystery structure on Earth, nestled under the ice in Antarctica.

'It is also a triangular shape, measuring 125 by 90mtres.

'It is unique in the area,' he said.

Tricks of light in space photography have led to a number of excited reports about alien life in our solar system.

In November, paranormal researchers found what they believed to be evidence of a fossilised iguana on the surface of Mars.

‘This is not the first animal found on Mars, actually there have been about 10-15 to date,’ Mr Warring told news site agoracosmopolitan.com.

Mysterious Rock Suddenly Appears In Front of NASA Mars Rover

The photograph you see above is stumping NASA researchers. Just as the agency continues to pursue whether or not Mars once—or currently does—contain water, it looks as though there are deeper mysteries worth exploring. The picture was shared by NASA Mars Exploration Rover lead scientist, Steve Squyres, during an event celebrating the ten year anniversary of the agency’s twin rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, since landing on the red planet in 2004. The strange rock was described as about the size of a donut, and is stumping scientists as to where it came from. The photo on the left was taken from sol 3528, while the photo on the right, with the donut rock, shows up in sol 3540.

NASA has found everything from suspected gypsum on Mars to possible clays formed during the planet’s past, though the rock sighting is what is really piquing researcher interest. There are one of two theories: either NASA’s Opportunity rover managed to flip up the object while maneuvering on Mars’s surface, or it’s the result of a nearby meteorite impact event. Squyres blames Opportunity for the rock’s sudden appearance, though he does admit he’s just guessing. Apparently, the Opportunity’s front right steering actuator is out of commission, which could have somehow dislodged the rock and caused it to land in the position you see above.

But while the explanation of how the rock got there might be easily guessed, scientists are using this as an opportunity to study it. Apparently the rock is “upside down,” showing a side that “hasn’t seen the Martian atmosphere in billions of years.” That gives scientists the opportunity to investigate and see what secrets lie within.

Maybe the most interesting part of this whole thing is Opportunity itself. The rover was initially sent to Mars for a 3-month primary mission, but it’s still ticking ten years later. According to Space.com, the rover has racked up 23 miles on its odometer thus far, with no signs of slowing down. Opportunity’s sister rover, Spirit, succumbed to the Martian elements back in 2009, when it got stuck in a sand trap in Gusev Crater, and eventually stopped transmitting in 2010. Squyres said the team is still investigating how the rock got there.

Ghost, Spirit or UFO? Mysterious Black Ring Appears Over England Sky Baffling Experts [VIDEO]

A mysterious black ring that hovered over the English Sky for long enough for a girl to capture it in video, has baffled many people around the world.
   

The bizarre and never-before-seen phenomenon occurred last Friday for over three minutes, where the rings floated around like a cloud before disappearing completely, various sources have reported. So far, however, experts are themselves baffled by the mind-blowing spectacle.

The unexplained black ring appeared over Leamington Spa, a small town in Warwickshire in England. According to the British Tabloid Mirror, weather experts have said that the weird occurrence of the black ring over the sky has nothing to do with weather systems, while the firefighters have also said that there were no fires around the time of the sightings.

The strange happening has created confusion among people, leading many to think it could be a different kind of UFO, or perhaps just spirits or ghosts seen for the first time, or a new kind of 'fairy rings' .

"I looked up at it and thought 'what the hell?', it was amazing. It was just floating there like a cloud and then it disappeared. It wasn't birds either," Georgina, the 16-year-old girl who took the video of the ring, told the Mirror.

The girl who is reportedly studying for her GCSEs was playing tennis with mum Jo when she was suddenly taken aback by the amazing sight, the Mirror reported.

On a logical point of view, it has been surmised that it could just be some smoke ring, although it is difficult to trace its origin. Gizmodo website notes that it could perhaps be a bunch of bees in a suicidal ritual, but at the moment, the most likely explanation is it was some kind of a UFO.

Visited Port Arthur recently, very lovely place, very beautiful. While there I visited the Broad Arrow Cafe (or whats left of it) and was very physically uncomfortable, the specific area around it was very cold and heavy, was not expecting the atmosphere to be so drained. The memorial was very nice and appropriate

New evidence of the legendary Yeti apparently hiking through a Canadian mountain range has just been been made public.

A hiker caught a large two-legged figure on video striding quickly through a snow covered mountain range in British Columbia, Canada.

Myles Lamont took this video three years ago but has only just uploaded it recently, quickly chalking up nearly 500,000 views on YouTube.

Mr Lamont has made it clear that he did not think this potential Yeti could be a bear or a wild animal.

The speed with which this supposed Bigfoot traversed the snow impressed the hikers as ‘the subject was clearly bipedal and was without snowshoes or a backpack and wearing all one coloured clothing’.
