B-League = dumbest idea ever

How else do you suggest getting promotion and relegation happening?
Surely you dont expect FFA to allow the state league teams to compete... well at least not yet

It is a dumb idea because Australia cannot handle promotion and relegation. Anyone who thinks otherwise should get their head checked.

The A-League is struggling as it is and Australians have never had to see their team get relegated in other sports (and South Sydney/North Sydney in League dont count as relegations). It is just not in the sporting culture over here.

If Sydney FC were to get relegated, what do you think will happen to crowds and corporate sponsorship and everything else that goes along with it?

The FFA has already had to help many clubs financially and the market is basically saturated with a 10 team league and there are 2 more on the way. Now add a B-League with another 8 teams and tell me where youre going to get another 40 thousand fans on a weekly basis (assuming that, hypothetically, 10k would be the breakeven point).

Apart from the cultural aspect, there just isnt the population here to support it. Yes, I realise that countries with much smalled populations have P & R but these countries have it ingrained. Not to mention that many of these leagues dont rely on crowds and have very small operating margins.

I just dont see how a second division could ever be feasible here. If it were to ever pop up and the FFA decided to give the State League clubs a chance (arguable) then I'd be completely against my club participating. Just seems as though it would be a short cut to oblivion.

No we are just happy with where our club is at the moment. We can see that our time at the top of the food chain in Australian football is up and aren't delusional and think we will get into the A-League.

There wasn't really any hope of being in the A-League to being with. Once the NSL was disbanded I think most of us knew our time at the top was up and are happy with playing in the NSWPL. I'm happy paying $6 to go watch United play at King Tom instead of having to pay $30 to watch them play in the National League again

You seem confused.

In another thread you state death to the FFA and A-League supporters etc etc etc......and now you want your club to be a part of it all..You want Olympic in the B-League with a promotion & relegation system so your club can get into the A-League.

Which one is it? You can't have both.

i want the a-league to fail purely because they have black banned my club, which is more than fair enough!

If they reverse this black ban as a football lover i would then support the cause.

This is not a "fact" this is an opinion. These are very different things. As for no talk about State league, that is not FFA's problem that 442 or any other football website/print media/tv media wish to talk about it.

You are miss guided in your attacks and need to actually focus on what your issue is. Stop ranting and carrying on without evidents or a distinguishable point of view.

Well I'm not a Uni Student (I work full time with the most vulnerable people in our society), although I am planning on starting a degree next year.

If you are angry about the treatment you feel State League Football gets then there are better ways than ranting uncontrollably on an internet forum. Especially when it takes three or four reads to decipher your ranting as you do not use punctuation.
There are plenty of people who enjoy state league football and who would support a well rounded protest to the FFA to look at encouraging the Grass roots football as this is where many of our youth and A-League players began and will come from.

Your continued attack and derogatory comments to A-League fans and supporters alienates you from the people who could be helping you. It is not all a conspiracy, the FFA are not out to destroy ethnic clubs, if anything they nothing you, they couldn't care one way or the other.

I strongly suggest getting an education or at the least a course in typing skills and a toast masters course to help you learn to articulate your arguments.
