Having a bit of trouble decideing which formation to go with. I've tried 5-3-2, 442, 433, 352, 4222. None of them are doing the job im after
The Footy Man website is really helpful aswell. Daniel Parajo is a gun for 325k

The one thing I suck at is consistency with formations. I swap bits around at the start to see what works but usually revert back to 442, which just seems to bring back the simplicity within all the players. Currently what I'm doing at Inter, and have been for a while.

Yeah, the thing that always got me with FM, is that what formation you're lining up with, isn't that important. It's the tactics behind that formation that make it count. By all means, if you want to play a wide game, don't play a narrow diamond midfield. But just putting two guys out wide won't do the trick either.

I almost always play a 4-1-2-1-2 at celtic.

I used to do that at Manchester imno, but found I kept getting outplayed in that gap in the middle. I never tried this but I was contemplating taking a striker out and putting in a CM which might have helped.

Yeah. When I had Emerson it worked really well, but when I sold him I really started getting screwed in the middle. You need someone with a really high work rate and great positioning and off the ball. Being good in the air helps a lot too.

When I brought in Edinho it worked better again, because he added the quality. Sometimes I drop the AMC to CM or push up the DMC to CM, dependant on scoreline and possession stats and stuff.

Also, sometimes I take Pineda from LB and put him into CM and change to 3-1-3-1-2, with three CBs, because Caldwell and O'Shea can play DC too.

Man U offered 22mil for Edinho. I signed him for 11. They offered 4 up front and then 18 over 24months. Didnt take it, as I will be gone in 6 months. I offered them 20 up front and they said no. I just want to keep him until the end of the season, win the treble and then leave :)

Had a decent run lately.

Beat Pompey 3-0 in league cup QF, took on Blackburn in SF.

Leg 1 stole a 3-2 win at home via a Owen 94th winner at home. Leg 2 was a tighter affair but still got away with a 2-1 win.

Got to play Chelsea in the final.

Beat Reading 1-0 in FA cup Rd 3, then Villa 2-1 in 4th. Tottenham awaits 5th round action.

Im sitting first now equal with Liverpool, Im so pissed that I got pipped for manager of the month as I have had one of my best, bloody Rafa beat me and he only managed two wins in the league over mid table teams I beat last seasons winner and runner up. Tevez is in incredible form 5 goals from as many games and 3 assists with the highest average rating in the league. Rooney is in dangerous form too scoring important goals including the winner against Arsenal. Veloso has 3 goals and 5 assists from 5 games and is ripping it up for me and Fletcher has returned from injury to score 1 goal and create 2 assists in 2 games.

I have been bringing Nani on as an impact player and he has handled that well popping up to score a couple of goals for me and Mata has created a few. Fernandez and Anderson have seen their fair run of form as well with Fernandez having scored a few in the league as well as LC and EC matches and Anderson having scored a few in the league as well.

In transfer news I mentioned a while ago that I had signed a gun 17 y.o regen Argentinian keeper for 1.5 mil I also signed an equally gifted Portuguese 16 y.o keeper on a free, my scouts say he is a quality signing and I just offered a contract to a 16 y.o Spanish defender who my scouts say has the potential to be better than Ferdinand

I started a save with Reading for shits and gigs to try and bring a team into the premier league.
I am looking at buying quality youth and getting them ready to take on the best.
I have signed Tales after hearing so much good about him from Imno, I also signed a gun 16 y.o CM from Serie C called Mascio for 30k, I have high hopes for him as he already has a fk rating of 20, 16 for corners and 14 for passing. I have had an offer accepted for Keirrison but he isnt too keen on playing for me, I also had an offer for Lavezzi accepted but as you can imagine he didn't want to play Championship. I have also signed Zuculini and he will come in Jan as he is only 17 at the moment

Sitting 15th halfway through the season in CCC. Scoring goals has been a bit of a problem of late, one of my strikers not having scored for 1489 minutes. Been playing mainly an attacking 532 but am thinking of reverting back to 442. Hoping to consolidate my position and get around 10th this year.

Finished 9th with Newcastle.

Yeah Fred, Arshavin was on the transfer list so brought him in. Hes gone straight into the first team. A man of the match in his first game and a goal in his second.

Signed Federico Laurita for only 2mil, for Reading! Stoked with that signing although he is on loan atm so he wont come till later in the season. I also signed a Uruguayan marskman on a free who is awesome for Championship level and if I get promoted will still be decent. Sebastian Abreu is his name and he has over 40 caps for Uruguay he is 31 but has good stats and knows how to score.
Mascio that kid I signed for only 30k already has incredible stats and scored on debut for me. I also signed a good defender on a free from the Bolton reserves and he looks quality but he got injured in pre season. I then signed an absolute gun CB from Shaktar for only 1 mil and after researching him on the net he is apparently talented enough to be one of the best in the EPL.
I still need wingers though, I have plenty of AMC's but I need more players able to play out wide, I had a bid accepted for Leonardo from the Ajax reserves but he doesnt want to play for me which is my biggest problem as every player I sign to play on the wing doesnt want to play for me.

I got handed shit odds of promotion and had my opening game against the favourites Wolves and I smashed them 3-0 so I am very happy with that

Also, for wingers, look at Max Gradel at Leicester. I can't recall his stats but when I took Leicester to the prem he was still assisting in the EPL, albeit 4 years away but he is gun in League one and would still be pretty good in Champo atm. Freddy Adu is great as well, he is AMC/R. Not sure what his stats are when he is young though.

On the wingers I just signed Rodney Sneijder from Ajax who can play left or right and has bags of potential, I just lodged a bid for Santon but I doubt he will want to play for me. Celtic just sold me Bobo Balde for 6k and I am way over my wage budget already lol
