Have you seen the add where beckahm is sittign next to a kid and he asks him who his fave player is and he says gerrard? Theres 3 15 min extended versions of that pretty much.

Don't have Foxtel up here in Newcastle. Though im heading home to Sydney on Thursday, Ill check it out then. What channel's it on? Fox Sports? And I think if you enter those interactive ad competitions you have to pay like $2 for pressing the button.
It was part of his Pepsi endorsement. Fabregas was dressed as Indiana Jones, Can't remember who the other two players were. They were from Serie A i think.

You press red during one of those 'i-ad' things usually for cars and shit but this time for adidas. It only costs if you enter the competition, watching is free.

Quote:Ive got Cubase. Dose Protools shit all over it, as Ive heard, or are they more or less the same? ProTools is awesome coz it's what all the pro musicians use (eg Trent Reznor). But you havet o have a MIDI keyboard to record off or sound samples to mix with, and it's all analogue rather than digital waveforms (*.wav files) Quote:anyone else seen these adidas mini episodes on foxtel. all the star adidas players suprise kids around europe during their training, kit them up with adidas gear and teaech them some stuff. Yeah, love those adds...but I was a little scared by the fact that they only showed the back of Stevie Gerrard's head and I recognised him:P Quote:Have you seen the add where beckahm is sittign next to a kid and he asks him who his fave player is and he says gerrard? But that steven gerrard is better than beckham scene is just an excerpt from these mini shows they had when you pressed red on the comedy channel of all channels.

You can turn your keyboard (typing keyboard) Into a Midi controller. It works really well and saves you about $300 bucks on a midi keyboard if you are short on $. Also you can plug microphone out on an amp into your sound card and record guitars directly or vocal and drum with a mic hooked into the amp :) Tips for the cash strapped... They (protools/cubase)sound pretty much the same. Edited by Glenn - A-league Mad: 12/6/2008 11:42:50 AM

IIRC Cubase is more of a sequencer whereas ProTools is more of a multitracker.
For recording and editing, ProTools is it. For sequencing with some audio editing Cubase is effective. I haven't used Cubase in years but its like Logic. They both do audio but if you are doing JUST audio recording and mixing, then ProTools is the industry standard.

Logic has been changed, it does multitracking now aswell or something, I haven't taken a look at it myself but a lot of people are turning away from ProTools in favour of Logic. ProTools is great if you're moxing with original recording sessions, but otherwise you're better off finding something else because it can only work with original WAV files. I like it though. Can't be bothered uploading what I'm working on at the moment. You can turn your keyboard (typing keyboard) Into a Midi controller. They (protools/cubase)sound pretty much the same. Computer keys tend not to be pressure sensative though so they dont' feel the same or wield the same sound, not to mention it's a little harder to play a computer keyboard. As for the plugging of a mic into a pre-amp into your sound card. Most input jacks on soundcards are either unbalanced or just crap which can result in a crappy sound and a hiss, which sucks unless you're recording grunge rock. And you'd have to buy a pre-amp rather than a fully fledged amplifier otherwise it would sound dead because the inputs on amps are line ins rather than mic ins so their impedance isn't bridged appropriately. But it's probably still better than buying Berringer gear :P lemme know if you don't follow any of that:P Edited by afromanGT: 13/6/2008 09:31:56 PM

more re ProTools: I just got a laptop to do all the MIMI/Mastering work on, I'm not sure how well it's going to stand up to the complex stuff, but I'm still psyched.
