My captain has decided that he wants out so i sold him, his market value was 10 million but i sold him for 70 million to AC Milan. Sitting 6th after 10 games, estatic with the way things are going, Scott Carson has been the best buy ive made so far, won me many games with some fine saves, his average rating is 8.2. Continued my amazing run in the league cup, so far ive beaten Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, pretty stoked with that

Lucky ive never had to sub a keeper as I never put one in my subs, its risky I know but its paid off thus far. Wingers are a priority on the bench I reckon as it is very rare that my wingers will last a full game they get stuffed quickly.

Yeah, exactly the same with me. I've had to sub a keeper once only, but In scotland you HAVE to have a GK on the bench

Same with A-League (obviously). Playing with 4, virtually 3, in the A-League is a tough ask.

i wonder when the day will be when you get teams who will have a player who is a quailty keeper as well as a quailty field player so you get 2 birds with the one stone,he wont just be a stand alone keeper,

Same here. Although I haven't been playing around with the Tactics thing. I'm still playing my 09 save which I'm addicted to atm.

All my better players are wanting to move to bigger clubs to further their career. Its starting to piss me off because its been one after the other. Im coming 5th in the league so i dont see why there so unhappy, Leeds isnt that small a club, we get like 50000+ each game. Anyone know how to stop this

Try and tie them down to long contracts like 5 years so if they do end up going you'll get A LOT more money anyway. When you start to win things they should want to stay.

brebner has been a star but I can't get him to sign a new contract :S

i just need one more Right attacking midfield or left attackign midfield, preferably can play up front, but doesn't matter. Yeah but i'm victory so no budget, anyone have any ideas?

the player called Enio is a gun, hernandez has dropped off a bit hasn't been match winning. and frigging kaz patafta hit a lovely form patch, and then goes in the derby vs adelaide, 92nd minute winning 2-1 and elbows costanzo and gets 5 weeks :S

After a blistering unbeaten start to the campaign (First half of the season over, no defeats)my team is starting to let up a little bit. World Player of the Year Esteban Hererra (My incumbent right midfielder) has scored 21 goals and set up 20+ others, from midfield. However, since the transfer window, he's slowed down quite a bit even after I've given him a few games rest here and there. I guess it was bound to happen, but it's disappointing seeing as how he was driving the team.

My home grown players are providing a good spine to the team with Muller (German - ST), Wibowo (Indonesian - DC/DM), Peter(German - DC) and Rufer(NZ - GK). I'm very proud of my regens. My whole team is full of regens now as I'm in the year 2028 or somesuch.

Has anyone else noticed how much the Socceroos deteriorate over the years? They've got a couple of half decent players thanks to me bringing them through my reserves and first team before selling them off, but there's players from the AIS and such that are just shite playing in the team. New Zealand doesn't seem to have the same problems at all, most of their players are pretty decent and most of them are in Europe. Christ, my GK Ian Rufer is the best Goalkeeper in Europe at the moment.

I'm still using FM '08 btw. I'll buy 2010 when I have the money/when it comes out though. I tried '09 and I wasn't all that impressed so I stayed with '08. Seems '10 is going to be a whole lot better so I'm looking forward to it.

Well you don't need a sweeper and a DM. Put another attacker up front?

yeah true, but it's been working, and it's a flexible formation. If i go down i can always take out the sweeper and put him up front, i'd prefer to go in at half time 0-0 then attack, it works, plus i need protection.

I'm using St Pauli in the Bundesliga. It's about 2028 or so and everyone in the game practically is a regen except for the coaches.

If you're in the A-League there's a couple of players I reccomend that used with St Pauli that I also picked up when I had a mini go with the Roar. Look into Cristoph Babatz (DM), Patrick Pircher (CB) and Gyorgy Korsos (RB/DM/CB). They're all good, cheap players. Granted they're internationals but Pircher and Babatz in particular are well worth a look at.

There was a central midfielder by the name of Mardonio, a Brazilian, that was quite good too.
I'm struggling to think of other players you might be able to drag in. Err, Sasa Radulovic (AML) he's an Aussie that's half decent that'll play in the A-League...Ryan McGowan is a good signing if you can get him.

Tactics wise I don't have much for you. I generally go with a 4-4-2 with a diamond in midfield as it's personal preference. I basically buy the players I want to fit my system now rather than at the beginning where I was playing virtually 4-4-1-1 because I didn't feel comfortable in the first division playing with 2 strikers...plus it didn't seem to work too well.

oh yeah i played as st. pauli once, just bought all the A-leauge players lol :D

8th ruond of the season Central coast were starting to pull away, i had to win away at sydney who were on a 3 match winning streak i had drawn the last 2.

so i started off 5 defenders, just defended

against the run of play went 1-0 up by enio 38th minute

then just defended for my lives
and by the end i had 8 defenders all last line or sweeping

and archie thompson adn leandro love up front, for their speed

just put all too full passing long and speed, just bombed it long
played full narrow
and ultra defensive, and they killed us but we won \:d/
back in the title race

got a new tactic
two up front love and thompson both with pace of 15
just knock the long balls at fast pace

goal machines :D

enio plays in behind as an attacking mid
