31 including galekovic means 8 cuts to be made.. Hmm my breakdown of it:

Galekovic, lowry, holland, Garcia are fairly certain to be cut you'd think.

Which leaves beauchamp and north to battle for final defence position (both trash I'd prefer sasa or even spira but oh well). On that would probably give to north due to playing at higher level/more versatile.

Also, one of jedinak or valeri will surely be cut due to our amount of DM's. I'd personally prefer jedinak.

Leaving carle, holman, vidosic and oar battling for final 2 midfield spots.hmm I've got no idea on that one what you guys rekon?

Glad he wasnt picked.... He has been great for the game and the socceroos in the past. However no one can say over the last year he has played well enough to be on the plane...

Of those I think Vidosic should be a certainty, and it would be a tricky decision between Carle and Oar. Totally different players really.

Beauchamp probably there cause hes got height and german experience but doubt he'll play.

Bottom line is, no surprises from Pim today. He put off the real decision making till another day.

Assuming we have three players not on the plane due to injuries, it will be the other 5 left out that will be revealingly interesting decisions.

Only surprise for me is no Colosimo. Please take Oar AND Carle. I will never understand why Pim keeps picking Holman...perhaps he likes his hair band?

the best i can give you is that Holman has shown continuously that he can not gell with the National side. He fails in front of goal, does not read passes or able to see clear paths in counter attacks. He is a quality club player just not national.

As for Carle, He does gell especially since he gets about 10 minutes a game, he is explosive and great foot work. He also seems to try and fit an entire games worth of skill in to his brief forays in to matches. He can be a game changer.

Are you joking mate I have seen better free kicks in the Over 35 womens G's.

Beauchamp, Holland and Lowry are the real surprises imo. There are some good up and coming players in this squad, but I am totally worried about the central defence.

On the evidence of the last 12 months I'd leave them both out.

Can someone explain how PV can pick Moore, Miligan, Noth and Beauchamp over Spiranovic, Ogdenovski, Bosnar, and Colisimo?

Several duds in the squad, BUT, we all knew that and depth aint, nor ever has been our strong suit.

Viduka would be at the same level of fitness as Moore.. PV is on crack
