Just taken on the City job after quitting Newcastle. League is insanely tight, 9th of December, 11 points separating 1st from 12, and about 6 separating the top 8, a lot of teams have games in hand as well. Took City over when they were eleventh, won three in a row in the league and have taken them up to 8th, 6 points as I said behind the leaders Chelsea, also beat Besiktas 9-2 in the Europa League group stage, was 6-2 at half time.

If I win the ECL and FA Cup this season I think I might move on to somewhere in Italy or Spain.

So, found my FM 08 game and started out with Leeds. Won my first game and was happy....until I realized we'd been docked 15 points at the start of the season for going into administration.

Just had an epic game vs Burnley. They were 2 - 0 up and I got a goal on half time to go into the break 2 - 1 down. Scored 6 goals in the second half to win the game 7 -2 :D Edited by guest: 28/5/2011 07:43:08 PM

Possibly just what he has tatooed on his back. I'm expecting Sweet to make an appearance soon.

The best regen i've ever had from one of my own youth intakes was called 'Jonathan Walker'... actually turned into a World Class player too, sold him to Dortmund eventually for about 28mil :)
Love the avatar by the way Scouse. Devastated there'll be no new eps for a few months :(

What's the most anyone's ever seen a player go for? I've seen a regen go from somewhere (France somewhere I think) to Chelsea for 88m.

Edited by imnofreak: 29/5/2011 12:30:44 AM I do think it's quite appropros ;) I haven't seen any of season seven - I'd only seen the first season and recently got addicted and slammed my way through to the end of season six. Just about to start season seven now. Won't make the wait for next year any less agonising though. See Cuddy's left? btw:  at Johnnie Walker

I've seen 60million once, but it wasn't a regen. Was someone stupid like Pato IIRC... Yeah, Pato to Real for 62million or something IIRC.

See Cuddy's left? btw:  at Johnnie Walker Ah awesome... yeah I watched the Season Six finale when it was on ten a while back and decided to get into it... bought Season 5 and loved it, and then went back and bought Seasons 1-6 and watched them all (including a Seasons 1-4 box set which was an awesome present :P) ... went through them so quickly, was doing like 4 eps a day  Such a good show. I've since then gone back and watched 1-6 all the way again, and have been downloading each season 7 ep as it airs in the US... nothing till September now, but now I have them all on my lappy I'll watch it from start to finish instead of having to wait 4 weeks like I did sometimes. Yeah I saw Cuddy left... should be interesting to see how they play it next season. Hoping the rest of the cast re-sign, because I think Chase and Taub haven't yet, but my info might be outdated. Decided to leave Bristol Rovers. EPL/ECL double just seemed like the right peak to leave on. I'd reached my goal, achieved everything I wanted. Joined them in 2021/22 and finished 10th in the Blue Square Premier, and left in 2039/40 as EPL/ECL champions. Pretty stoked with how that journey went.
Was unemployed for about a month, and then joined an Ajax side who have spent the last 8 seasons finishing 2nd. As such, their squad was actually pretty good. A couple of minor adjustments, and we're 11 points clear after 20 games, with 19 wins and 1 Draw. Been a pretty cruisy season. Will pick up a couple of trophies here and then move on after a couple of seasons I think.

Highest transfers in my game are (all £) 64m from United to Real Madrid for some guy whose retired now and I have no idea who he is (probably regen), then 61m from Lyon to City (another retired regen).
The next one is funny. I managed to convince Arsenal to buy a shitty goalie I had, now, the actual cash part was insignificant. They did however agreed to pay 60 million if he played 20 internationals. I was hoping I'd get a "buy out" clause and could cash in. he left on a free 5 seasons later having played 1 match for.

Had a ridiculous FA Cup 3rd round loss. Full strength team.
Beaten 3-0 by Nott Forest.
Some other results around that game? 7-1 vs Liverpool. 3-0 vs Chelsea. 11-0 vs Bristol. 4-0 vs Arsenal. 5-0 vs Inter 7-0 vs United.

I thought it was a horrible type when the message came up, like seriously who the fuck would hire him.
Like I've got Robert Pires as a scout. He's an absolutely pathetic scout but it's Bobby so I couldn't resist

There's not many things I think that are more satisfying than having an opposition manager criticise you before a match and then you go up 3-0 inside 30 mins:lol:

I had Jamie Carragher as manager of Liverpool in an old game, a great manager he turned out to be too.
