Crowd Atomasphere has gone really quite...only about 5 vuvuzeelas blowing. more patches of empty seats i'm seeing, crowds getting bored.

Looking at Livescore for a confirmation he was a substitute.

Yep, crowd is bored. The game is just being played out and although France has had the lion's share of the possession they haven't created chances. France need to push forward now and try and make a highlight out of the game...

If Uruguay were struggling to keep france from scoring before, they're hanging on by the skin of their teeth now. If France don't score, Uruguay will take more confidence from this then France. Quite a shit performance by both sides really. Uruguay never in it, France, whilst having the majority of possession, never looking 100% dominant. They would have put this game away by half time if they had really wanted to.

With Matchday 1 over; The Good, The Bad and The Ugly:

The Good: South Africa not losing, they were pretty much written off by most people but showed that they can play against the Mexicans (albeit with the Mexicans squandering a few chances)

The Bad: Uruguay vs France, boring match with no real highlights. Few shots actually got on target, none of which really threatened the keepers. Both sides looked really lacklustre, France had possession but didn't turn that into chances and Forlan was the only Uruguayan that actually contributed anything meaningful. Crowd was bored, and it showed

The Ugly: Bacary Sagna's blonde tipped dreads. They just dont work...

Worst game of football iv'e seen in a while.

France could should have won that 5-0. Uruguay were poor at best, and France dominated them for at least 80 of the 90 minutes. Ribery and Anekla should be put under the Guillotine for missing as many chances as they did. Disgraceful. Despite Henry's best efforts, he couldn't do anything either.

Even when Uruguay were reduced to 10 men they couldn't breach the defence, in the end uruguay parked a nice fat bus in defence, and held on by the skin of their teeth.

France really should be dirty with themselves, and they should be throwing water bottles, boots, grenades whatever in the changing rooms. Uruguay will be feeling crap, but feeling like they've walked away with all 3 points.

I hope there are no more games like that, even the crowd got bored and restless.

Both sides were getting fustrated and it turned a little dirty at times. France were lucky not to recieve a red for at least one tackle.

France will need to practice their finishing, whilst Uruguay need a lot of work for mine. If they play like that for the rest of their games, they won't get out of the group.

Ok South Korea v Greece. I'm tipping a South Korea win probably 2-0. Good attacking team, and I think the Greeks will have trouble if South Korea score early.

Seems pretty empty for a world cup game though...

I don't think there is another team on the park. The commentator keeps mentioning Greece, but i can't see them, if they are on the park they're not doing a great deal.

South Koreans playing very well. Greece's only answer seems to be long ball, it's tested the Korean defenders a couple of times but they haven't really threatened too much so far.

Greece have no energy out there... The Koreans are first to the ball about 75-80% of the time
