Good thing about Kiwis is that they're dirt cheap and are still starters.

i honestly think everyone's making a mistake going for messi, messi's never really got going for his national team and with argentina in the form they are in i don't see messi being in great form this world cup either

Doubt it. They have too much quality up front to not score goals.
In any case, he scored 6 and got 4 assists in qualifiers.

He's got Veron in the midfield serving him which helps. Just imagine how much better his service would be with Riquelme I've just got a feeling Messi will dominate this tournament. It wouldn't surprise me to see Argentina go very far.

If they can get it together for the tournament they have a team that can win it tbh.

Just joined - obvious who I am.
Went for the all-rounders team, with a decent bench, too - why can't we play a 2-6-3, dammit?!?!
Playing a 3-4-3:
Stekelenburg Agger - Marquez - Chiellini Sneijder - Di Maria - Guardado - Iniesta Villa - Luis Fabiano - Humberto Suazo
Bench: Howard Neill Winston Reid Marek Hamsik

Netherlands have an easier group than USA so that's why Steklenberg would win over Howard:lol:

I was going to put Di Maria in, but he didn't play any of the quals so I doubt he will start...

Quick note:
Maicon will be starting ahead of Alves. Unlikely that Alves will play, as he isn't a natural left back. Read about it in 442 actually
Just a note, keep him if you like, he may start. :)

There's also a slim chance that Alves might play in the midfield. Wouldn't surprise me if he did just to fit him in.

i reckon there's a fair chance of alves starting in the midfield, after all brazil don't have that much in the way of attacking midfielders down the right except for maybe ramires. personally i'd like to see him play there

Too much talent on your bench imo.
Your reserves dont get you any points unless one of the players doesnt play.
Look at your three strikers. Pretty confident all three of them will start every game.
Get rid of Gomez and get a cheaper reserve striker, who will still get app. points if one of your forwards misses out through injury
Use the extra 2-3 points to get rid of Holman and get a higher quality midfielder.

Why would you tell one of your rivals how to pick a better team?
I will join this some time next week now that the final squads have been announced.

I am pretty happy with being able to pick up Schwarzer and Bertos so damn cheap, so will look into the cheap strikers for one who may surprise and get a Mexican midfielder to replace Holman.
