Scrapped home to win the A-league double in the first season with Sydney. We built a commanding lead by winning the first 16 games then didn't win another for the whole season. We ended up finishing above Brisbane and Wellington by a point.
In the major semi we drew both games against Brisbane but lost on away goals. We then won both the primarily final and the final via 0-0 penalty shoot outs.

The team meetings have a few strange results. After we had won the first 12 or so games I had a team meeting and told the team that if we kept in the same form we had been playing we would win the league. Everyone but Reddy and Antonis had a positive reaction to it. Reddy and Antonis were both upset by it enough that they still now at the end of the season refuse to talk to me.

EPL title race as good as dead. Lost 3-2 at Chelsea, got completely dominated, 30 shots to 11, pulled it back to 2-2 then conceded from another fucking set piece in the 90th minute. They are 6 points clear after 32 games.

Also, defending on long throws is fucking shambolic. Chelsea lobbed about 10 of these at me, half the time they would let Kalou take the ball to feet without so much as a challenge on him.

Counts Kiwis as foreigners, which is a bit shit.

But thats what the rule is in real life. Smeltz and Moss don't take up visa spots because they've got dual nationality but Rojas, Brockie, McGlinchey all count as foreigners.

I attempted to sign Mats Hummels, only to get dicked around by Dortmund, who kept pushing me over 35m and then as soon as I was about to accept after one last negotiation, they turned around and changed it to 60m. Transfer update Season 2 pre-season:

The "spread over 48 months" clause to stretch your transfer budget out over multiple seasons has worked for me.

I brought in Neymar (35m + 5.5m after 30 apps), Hazard (39.6m + 5.75m after 30 apps) and Hummels (39m + 10m after 50 apps).

Evra broke his leg in pre-season, which probably saved either Smalling or Jones from being sold, as I'll need Smalling as 3rd choice full back, and Jones can stay as a backup CB and developing DM.

England won Euro 2012 without actually winning a match. 2 draws and a loss got them through the group stage somehow, then they won three penalty shootouts after 1-1 draws to take the title.

In my usual 4-2-3-1 Formation we line up as:

Won the a-league at a canter didn't lose a match all season and won all my matches in the Asian Champions league group stage. I will probably stay until the champions league is over otherwise I don't think there is much of a challenge for my team anymore.
Brett Emerton's wage is starting to pile the financial pressure on. Such an integral and irreplaceable part of my side but he is on 1.5 times the wages of all the other players combined.

about to buy FM12 because i've practically finished uni for the year... but is it worth it? i haven't read about any changes but i just want the new squads

I think it's a good version. Very playable, no massive bugs and still a good amount of refinement over FM11.

It's 2.5gb, which isn't that big, so that really depends on your internet speed.

Yeah, I had a similar issue with Kewell and his stupid injuries, In FM 11 I got him on Trial, he accepted my contract offer and as it was getting confirmed he injured himself in a reserves match and retired.. :@ (This was at Gold Coast) so I signed him up for a Coach

Just made the CL semis courtesy of a 5-3 win on aggregate against Madrid.

Set to face either Ajax or Arsenal. Thought it was Arsenal after they won the first leg 4-0 at home, and then this happens :lol:

Hey guys my system 3D rating is half a star, what can I do to make it better? What do I need to purchase etc. ? My laptop is fairly new, I got it about six months ago, and it is very fast. The game itself runs fast and I can fit as many leagues as I want and it is still like three stars, so its not like I have an old computer. Its just an issue with the 3D match rating, so what can i do to make it better?

I always had crap ratings on that stuff but it didn't matter. If it's still running fast then I didn't bother with it.

This. Mines always said half a star but I've never had any problems no matter how many leagues I was running.

And if you find it is slow, you can just remove a few leagues.

If only FM was real life...in my game Victory sack Durakovic and managed to get Ange as the replacement with Farina then getting the Roar gig.

In my game halfway through the first season they sacked Durakovic replaced him with Miron Bleiberg. He last until the end of the season and they replaced him with Ernie Merrick, who is still in charge into the 5th season of the game.:lol:
Perth sacked Ian Ferguson and replaced him David Mitchell.:lol:
Postecoglou is the only starting manager who has managed to hold onto his post for the whole game so far.
