Cannot wait to finish my studies/exams in 2 or so weeks, so I can buy some FM 12 and get hooked on to it for the Summer holidays.
Looking for something a bit different with my next save. Thinking of guiding a 2nd division Austrian, Swiss or perhaps even German side to glory.
Anyone with any experience willing to say what type of player calibre you can lure to these clubs, especially at the two former nations/leagues?
Still two or so weeks though... :?

Came to Wrexham about a quarter through the season coming 18th: But with a couple of coups and strong signings I managed to turn around the club and go on amazing winning streaks! 30 goals in 10 games. In the promotion play-offs now!

Suarez bagged 7 for me in a 8-0 win over Fulham. Swish.
There's a few cool new features in this year. The team meeting thing is pretty cool.

What sort of system's are people using to run FM12? Processor? RAM? And how are you finding it?

The occasional glitch but that's mostly when I have too many tabs open in the web browser using up access memory. It's November and I'm undefeated on full points. I managed to get a 1-0 win away against City and a belting 8-0 win over Fulham. Got QPR (winless, 20th), Bolton (10th) and Wolves 16th) coming up this month. I'd be starting to think the title was mine to lose if it weren't for a December that looks something like this: 3/12 - Everton (6th, A) 10/12 - Man Utd (2nd, H) 17/12 - Chelsea (3rd, A) 20/12 - Arsenal (5th, A) 26/12 - Newcastle (14th, H) 31/12 - Norwich (19th, H)

Does anybody else have a problem where if you click a player's name and then click 'attributes' the 'value' and 'preferred foot' spaces are blank?

Do you guys take everything your coaches say and put it into action for example: Target man, support in reports and so forth.

No. You can't possibly take every piece of advice you're given. You have to know which pieces of advice fit with your tactics. It's nice to be able to see what impact the team talk is having straight away.

After 4 years of dominating the A-league I took an offer to coach a newly promoted Sporting in the La Liga. I spent years of knocking back offers of at most $4million for each of Antonis, his two German central midfield partners and a young Croatian superstar up front. They are all better than what I have here at Sporting so I offered 5 million for each of them. Sydney FC must hate me for leaving and taking all my staff with me because they wouldn't give me any of them for under 12 million. So I bought only the Croatian using up pretty much all my transfer funds relying on cheaper players from elsewhere to fill the gaps. A week later, when I have 800,000 left to spend, they sell the Antonis to Man City for 1.5 million, one of the Germans to Inter for 2.5million and the other to Motherwell for 1 million.#-o #-o

I have put together quite the amazing squad for my League 2 campaign with Wrexham. My team is by the far the most talented and most skilled and should I say should dominate all opponents. Won my first clash against Crawley 3-1. Lost my RB for 3 months though, but I got a just as good youngster from Wolves on loan.

My wife threatened to leave me because of my addiction to Football Manager.
So I fined her two weeks wages and put her on the transfer list.

With the new tactics section, does it automatically save a tactic when you make small changes to it, or what?

Funky Munky wrote:With the new tactics section, does it automatically save a tactic when you make small changes to it, or what? No, you have to select 'save' each time. So I made it through december undefeated as well. Only dropped points away to Chelsea and I've now got a 5 point buffer over Manchester United. Suarez has 19 from 17. Tevez has 6 from 17 playing Trequartista and Carroll has 8 from 11. The goals are definitely flowing. There needs to be an option in the team meeting to warn against complacency.

I've finally given in, and will purchase FM2012 today. I've decided to put to bed my epic 2010 game (which is now into the year 2055)and start all over with 2012.
I'm thinking of starting out in the A-League. Are there any faults with the A-League comp? I havent tried the A-League since FM2007 and am keen to start out my career with a lowly ranked league.

Started my first game as Gold Coast United. Released the two Eritrean defenders and Robson. Freed up a visa spot, looking to fill it with Lee Hendrie to bring some experience and a decent playmaker. Also offered contracts to free agents Paul Reid and Adrija Jukic.

Pre-season recruitment close to being over, signed six players, released three.
In: Adam Casey, Hernan Espindola, David Carney, Paul Reid, Lee Hendrie, Andrija Jukic Out: Robson, Ambesager Yosief, Samuel Gebrehiwet
Played three friendlies so far.
vs Gold Coast United Youths 5-1 - Rigters, Macallister (2), Brown, Jones og vs Mt Gravatt 4-0 - Junschlager, McGowan, Carney, Jukic vs Bundaberg Spirit 3-2 - Casey (2), Beekmans
Still another five friendlies to go, the team seem to be gelling well and playing some decent football. Won't know how good we are for sure until we come up against some decent opposition.

Starting as GCU again as I type this. I habitually save after each match so I don't have this problem. COULD THIS GET ANY CLOSER TO THE BOX AND NOT BE A PENALTY?!
