cahill will be fit, im not concerned. theres no need to risk him right now. if it was 2 days before the germany game, i might be concerned but 5 days leaves 3 full training days before the game. lets see what happens tomorrow and the next day What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Cahill Crock Fear? TIM Cahill and not Harry Kewell is now looming as Australia's biggest injury cloud just five days out from the Socceroos' World Cup opener against Germany on Sunday night in Durban.Have your say.

He'll be fine - no worries. Will Emerton starting, Kewell off the bench.

Emerton fit is a massive bonus!! Cahill will be fine suffered worse during the EPL. Kewell,Chippers,Cahill and Emerton fit and well is super important. As much as I hate to say it Holman is also important.

erm... did anyone see Tim Cahill's interview on ABC2 NEws Breakfast this morning? Talk about cold. He obviously had the shits and didn't want to answer any questions about his injury. Maybe he's genuinely worried about it.

The throw away line about Oar and his long range shot shows that we need our players who can hit shots from distance to be taking their half chances, the way that Cullina did against USA, because there is always the potential for the keeper to spill it - the important thing is that our other attacking players need to be following up, something Australian players tend to be terrible at.

Do you mean crook or has Cahill admitted that he has a fear of crocodiles? As he is on South Africa this might be possible.

"Australia's other big injury concern in veteran midfielder Brett Emerton also joined in full training and also looks to have overcome his recent calf problem." Why is this just a side note this should be a major article this is great news

Tim not playing every game is inconceivable. That is the kind of guy he is. Good time for a rest and a bit of tactic by Pim with the 'will he won't he?' routine.

Completely agree! I've been going on about this for months now, I even mentioned it to Pim in an online chat but didn't get a response. I think this World Cup could have more goals scored from distance, or as a result of spills from the keeper, than any World Cup before. Two of our best are David Carney and Tommy Oar but neither look like getting game time, which is maybe understandable. However what I can't understand is why Scott McDonald wasn't selected when he is a bonda fide expert at following up other people's shots and scoring a stack of goals from it. He could have been a real weapon for us off the bench.
