While we are on a Vampire theme, just watched 30 Days of Night. Missus had to stop watching before she was sick. :lol: :lol:

Also just a little useless information:lol: . Dolph Lundgren has a masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Sydney University and served as a bodyguard in the city while at uni, before then going on to star as Ivan Drago in Rocky 4

Yeah, ditto this. It's fantastic in the that it's a really, really enjoyable film, with some epic scenes, but it also finishes neatly. Very Matrix-esque in that it's not so much massive twists, but more of a in depth, 'makes you think' story.

Saw it tonight, loved it. Have a few comments, but I think they should be saved for a few weeks to give everyone a chance to see it.

Don't be fooled - Willis and Arnie are only in for a couple of minutes in total. Mickey Rourke ain't in it for long either.

Me thinks it looks bad. Not good 'bad', but simply 'bad'. I love Sly, but he needs to stop thinking that he can be funny on screen.

This. This is the scene. With that soundtrack, was just so epic. Had this stupid grin on my face while it was on.

Any other ending would have taken away from the film IMO. What Nolan did was incredibly smart, because that ending, and the movie as a whole, has generated a massive amount of discussion that most movies don't get. The theories and ideas people are putting out mean everyone is seeing the movie in a completely different light to the next.

Saw a nice quote the other day. Something along the lines of, the fact that he ended it that way is far more important than any conclusion you or I may come to.

Was talking to a bloke at uni today at lunch, and he's saying that the script for Ice Station - yes, the book that made Matt Reily famous has nearly been finalized. I reckon the movie would be fucking awesome, got me thinking on the train home of who the cast would be.

All the Marines that get killed or have low profile status don't need to be too high profile, same with the French Soldiers.

Although, Renshaw could be played by Jason Alexander (George Castanza from Seinfeld) and Rebound, the young private who survives could be played by none other then Matt Damon...:lol: nah, someone up and coming perhaps?

Actually on Second thoughts, Trevor Barnaby could be played by Alan Rickman - There's a villian if ever you saw one!

It was the correct ending for the movie in so many ways, it wasn't however, to me, in any way ambiguous.

[spoiler]He couldn't have left the cut to black from the spinning top any longer - plus judging from the way he behaves in the movie, he's clearly been away from the USA for some time - yet the kids haven't aged or, unless my eyes deceived me, changed their clothes since he went.[/spoiler]

Still loved it though.
