I've *ahem* legally acquired most of Studio Ghibli's films, which I'm very excited to watch. I've only seen Spirited Away which I just loved so I have high hopes for the rest of them.

Se7en and slasher flicks are the only good movies in the world apparently.

Se7en isn't a 'slasher flick' - your misinterpretation would therefore qualify you to be a movie critic...

Yes, because I qualified that statement with 'AND', thus differentiating Se7en from slasher flicks. I guess we'll just add this as another reason to disregard your opinion - complete illiteracy.

And where did I state that 'slasher flicks' are the only good movies...........apparently?

Saw Paul today. While it wasn't as good as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, still a funny movie. A lot of sci-fi references in there and some hilarious moments. Definitely recommend it.

You've been asked to qualify your opinion numerous times and all you've come back with is slasher films and Se7en. Therefore I assume (many would say correctly so) that you're an idiot.

Feel free to post your supposed 50 better movies than Seven first

As for movies seen lately:
Tron 3D - utterly crap storyline switched off ater 60 mins. Furthermore, Avatar's 3D effects are a mile better.
Red - A 13 year old could write sharper comedy
Devil - Better movie. I find it sad when the typical, predictable cliche comment is 'it wasn't as good as the Sixth Sense'. FFS. If Devil was the first movie M. Sham had released, people would rave about it.

Arnold Schwarzenegger to star as Terminator in new film

Stephanie Masters From: The Courier-Mail April 27, 2011

ARNOLD Schwarzenegger will make his movie comeback by reprising his title role in the Terminator series.

After nearly 30 years since the original James Cameron flick, the former California governor and action movie hero promised his fans that he will return with as much violent action as ever.

"I can step very comfortably into the entertainment world and do an action movie with the same violence that I've always done," he told the LA Times.

The film, at this stage being referred to as Terminator 5, is in a very early pre-production stage but is apparently to be directed by Fast & Furious 5 director, Justin Lin.

The direction of the storyline is unknown, leading to speculation that the fifth film of the series will lead on from the ending to the third film, Terminator: Rise of the Machines, and not the fourth film, Terminator Salvation, which starred Aussie Sam Worthington as the new hero.

Final Harry Potter Trailer

Saw step Brothers last night. Expected it to be way overhyped, but I found it quite funny in the end. Some gold lines, although I do hate John C. Reilly.

Really looking forward to Melancholia. People mainly think of Lars Von Trier as a provocateur, which he is, but I find his films deeply moving and beautiful. Anti-Christ was a great film, despite having scenes that disturbed the crap out of me. I'm also interested in cosmology, cataclysmic events and the like so Melancholia appeals to me on a number of levels. Amusingly, Von Trier stated that it is his first film with an unhappy ending; if his other film endings are considered happy then I'm worried about how this one will end.

Never saw Anti-Christ but i think i've got a fair idea what went down, thus the reasons why i didn't want to see it 8-[
but yeah looks like it's no as 'disturbed' or graphically fucked up as Anti-Christ was alleged to be, but still no more happy endings? big call, i'm not big on so much cataclysmic events but i'm fairly down with Sci-Fi, looks quite good and happy to see nothing too extraordinarily graphic

Midnight in Paris looks like another semi-cringe semi-enjoyable Woody Allen film

Antichrist was a film I really struggled to watch, not because it was graphic or disturbing but because it just moved in real fits and starts and didn't have a continuous flow of progression to it.

Yep good movie. Chris Hemsworth = so dreamy

I would also recommend High Road but that will never be released in Australia and ya'll won't watch it anyway when you see who's in it

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Critically acclaimed movies that you think were over rated:

Apocalypse Now (was a superficial representation of war, lacked coherence & had an utterly stupid ending)
Silence Of The Lambs (plenty of other movies with more twists, more graphic & more psychologically provoking. It came across as if it had to be made to get under a certain rating, so as to get more $)
The English Patient (Elaine was right Peterman!)

Blade Runner (an exceedingly slow movie, with simplistic dialogue and a stupid 'detective' narrative)

Forrest Gump (similar to Kubrick movies, in that a director naively thinks that images can make up for a lack of story and/or vague ideas)

Million Dollar Baby - seemed to drag on, with a cliche concept
