Looks good.

Season One is out on DVD in JB Hi-Fi. Will probably get around to buying it in the next few weeks.

Season One of SOA is also out soon, although I might buy them all online.

WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

I agree however I just couldn't shake the feeling that from the pensieve scene onwards I would have done things differently and been more true to the book if I were directing.
How they could leave out Fred's death scene and the reunion with Percy is beyond me, I remember that as one of the more emotive moments in the books for me and thought there was potential for cinematic license to make this a brilliant scene. Similarly Harry leaving Hogwarts under the invisibility cloke and fighting the urge to say goodbye whilst being torn apart by grief at witnessing the destruction caused in his name would have been brilliant on the big screen. I remember having a lump in my throat reading about Hagrid carrying Harry's body back in tears and the anguished reactions of the Order and co but it just seemed so sudden in the film. Almost got teary during the ressurection stone scnes though, that was perfect
Agree with most of that.
In terms of Fred's death, i think the most important part of that was the reaction when the trio see the body, i nearly lost it when Ron and George hugged. And then they showed Lupin and Tonks. Had the biggest lump in my throat during that whole bit. Agree with the scene after the pensieve where Harry is walking out. I cant see in the books, Ron and Hermoine just letting Harry walk out to sacrifice himself. Also disappointed with the deaths of Bellatrix and VOldemort. They way they die was so frustrating, but i loved the start of the duel between Molly and Bella, and the majority of the duel between Harry and Tom.

Performance of the movie for me was a tie between Neville during the battle, and Snape during the pensieve and as he is dying. Majority of the tears in the crowd i saw was when he said "Look at me, you have your mothers eyes". Alan Rickman needs to win so many awards its not funny.

Also the Draco-Voldemort Hug, absolutely hilarious.
.

Ive said it somewhere else, but if LOTR can sweep the Oscars, then so should this (even though we know it wont), but it should at least win 2 or 3 oscars.

Twas a great movie, the best HP one yet IMO.
Can confirm only timed I nearly cried was watching Snape's memories and his death, very well done and acted. The fact that you never saw emotion from Snape up until that point reinforced just how sad his story was
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Agreed, the casting selections throughout the movies has largely been superb, Rickman embodies everything you imagined of Snape whilst reading the books. Bellatrix is cast very well, pity there wasn't enough license or Bella to have a bigger role, Bonham Carter does her phsycho bitch routine perfectly.

Hmm.... I saw HP last night. I feel cheated a bit, 'cuz I haven't read the books. I didn't really like it. I remember walking out of Part 1 and thinking it was the most amazing movie ever, but Part 2 seemed a bit weak.

Seems like everyone who read the books loved it, but I thought it was average. I must be missing something.

Lol rly? Actually that would make sense, coz it's just made up of scenes from the first two movies. And there's been no word about Robin Williams at all.

EDIT: Would also explain why the bloke has locked off comments on the YT page too:lol:

Here's the full breakdown of the teaser that Benjo posted the other day

Quote:
This is my first article so I hope you all enjoy it. If you haven't watched the teaser trailer yet then please refer to nailbiter111's article and watch it. Here's the link: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/debbiedowner/news/?a=41715

Now on to the fun stuff...

First off, we see the production logos of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures surrounded by blue flames. It then cuts to the side of a building as the camera begins to scale up it. A title card then appears on the screen stating, " EVERY HERO HAS A JOURNEY". It then cuts to Bruce Wayne walking up the mountain towards Ra's al Ghul's hideout in Batman Begins with a voice over from al Ghul stating, "If you make yourself more than just a man,..."

Next, a title card cuts in stating, "EVERY HERO HAS AN END". We next see Bruce in the cave surrounded by bats from Batman Begins, again. In this clip the voice over continues stating, "...if you devote yourself to an ideal,..."

A title card then appears on the screen with the words, "FROM CHRISTOPHER NOLAN". The voice over contimues with, "...then you become something else entirely..." the screen cuts to black and al Ghul continues, "...A legend Mr. Wayne,..."

We then get a shot of Batman on the Batpod driving up the ramp from the end of The Dark Knight. The voice over continues and ends with, "...a legend."

The shot then cuts to Commisioner Gordon in a hospital bed holding an oxygen mask away from his mouth so he can say, "We were in this together," the screen then cuts to Gordon axing the Batsignal from The Dark Knight, "and then you were gone." Gordon seems as though he is in serious pain by the tone of his voice. We then cut back to the side of the skyscraper as the camera pans up towards a white sky.

It cuts back to Gordon who says, "Now this evil," It now cuts to someone climbing out of a tunnel with gordon stating, "rises."

Cutting back to Gordon we here him say, "The Batman has to come back." The screen then cuts to a dark figure doing some intense push ups when we finally here the voice of Bruce, "What if he doesn't exist anymore."

Cutting back to Gordon we here him say painfully, "He must...He...must"

Suddenly we get a shot of Bane's face and then the screen cuts back to the
skyscrapers as they begin to crumble while the camera shoots towards the white sky, which is now in the shape of the batsymbol, out of the destruction. "The Dark Knight Rises" appears on the all white screen as the chanting from the website begins pounding.

Suddenly the screen cuts to Batman backing away as Bane enters from the left side of the screen. The chanting contiues when title card then appears stating, "THE EPIC CONCLUSION TO THE DARK KNIGHT LEGEND" which then cuts to another one with, "SUMMER 2012".

END OF TRAILER

Now here are a couple of thoughts:

1. It seems as though Bruce will be giving up the cape and cowl sometime during the movie, or possibly before the movie even starts based on what Gordon is saying. It seems as though Batman will be called back into action to defend Gotham once again.

2. One thing that is in hot debate right now here on this website is whether that is Batman or Catwoman in the final clip segment. I can tell you right now that the figure on the right side of the screen is Batman. You can distinctly see the batsymbol on the right side of the chest and also a part of his shoulder armor. Also his cape can be seen off his right shoulder for a split second. His jaw and mouth can also easily be seen. People that have also seen the HD version of the trailer are saying that it's Batman so that's proof enough.

3. One thing about Batman in that clip is that it looks as though he is limping slightly. I believe we are seeing Batman battling Bane midfight in this clip. One thing I noticed about Bane is that it looks as though he is walking up a set of stairs from the way he enters the shot. He also looks very large and it looks as if he is lumbering up the stairs, so maybe he isn't in the best of shape either.

Thanks for reading my first article and I hope you all enjoyed it

Agree with most of that.
In terms of Fred's death, i think the most important part of that was the reaction when the trio see the body, i nearly lost it when Ron and George hugged. And then they showed Lupin and Tonks. Had the biggest lump in my throat during that whole bit. Agree with the scene after the pensieve where Harry is walking out.

Agree with the majority of whats been said. Perfect ending to a fantastic series.
Snape...what can you say? Rickman has always been perfect as him, but he comes into his own here. Was surprised I didn't cry at the Fred scene, nor the Snape memories or the Resurection Stone scenes. i think they could have done the invisibility cloak scene when he's walking to Voldemort, thought that would've made it even more emotional. Like Fredsta said, not sure why they left out Fred's death, I cried when reading it in the book. Loved the kiss between Ron and Hermoine, made me laugh. And that hug...that was hilarious.
Read that breakdown the other day Syd Cro, it sounds unreal. I wanna see it even more now. Bane is gonna be an interesting character. It sounds like they're gonna make him into a Hugo Strange type character. In other words, unbelievably smart. And considering he's already physically superior to Batman, should be awesome to see how nolan shapes the story. It's rumored that it will follow the Knightfall comic ark, which would be interesting.

Sherlock Holmes trailer meanwhile, can be found here.
