+1, the animation was absolutely amazing. And Rocknerd, you'll probably enjoy the opening titles then :lol: See how many references to the original comics you can spot.

I watched The Departed last night. Wow, such a good movie! I was a little bit lost at some points, but it was pretty brilliantly done.

You should watch the original film it was based on, a Hong Kong film called Infernal Affairs.

There are some key differences, and I even thought that The Departed was a superior film in some ways and very worthy of the Oscar win, but the original is fantastic.

There are a couple of sequels that you can take or leave.

I've got the box set of the cartoons and I've seen everything there is to see there a hundred times. I'm looking forward to being able to watch the story unfold in a different light. I'm just quietly hoping that Steven Spielberg's ability to arse-fuck any story doesn't do to omuch damage to the film.

Yeah, it's always risky with him, but I think we're safe with the fact that it's a pretty tight story and you can not add or take too much away.
Peter Jacksons involvement should keep him from adding 2 kids and an estranged wife to the story. (War of the Worlds pun)

Saw War Horse today. Very good film, wasn't quite the tear jerker I was expecting, but a good tale all round. Only gripe was the fact that the Germans were played by English. One Kraut commander had the thickest Liverpool accent going. :lol:

You must live under a rock or spend your time far away from theinternet and television. the 3rd Batman film (Dark Night Rises) has been in the press for the past 6 months and quite heavily with the sneak preview in Imax making news in the past month for it's poor dialogue from Cheif villian Bane.

Sources in England say that a new sound track has been distributed to theatres in the States with a lowered background noise to enable you to understad him better but the Producers are denying any alteration.

Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson's character in 66% of Marvel based films) all in one giant film!
