Holy motherfucking shitballs. You could not get a more ridiculously perfect ending to a trilogy.

Come at me bros. one does not simple "get" into Batman. Seriously though, I figure this is what people must have felt like when they were drawing the first and greatest trilogy to a close. That of the Jedi.

Come at me bros. I love the films but I resisted it for ages until my old high school media teacher (legend) took us to see The Dark Knight as a school funded excursion, I'd resisted it because I just assumed it would be another cheesy comic book movie but I was blown away with the quality of TDK. I only got around to watching Batman Begins a few months ago though, but I can't wait to see how Nolan ends the trilogy now.

Just throwing it out there...(This is a genuine Spoiler, not one of those joke Spoilers)
They should have left him dead, or at least an open ending. Alfred scans across the crowd, sees someone, nods, cut to black/other scene. I dunno. Probably just me.
That is the best fucking movie I have ever seen, fuck, I haven't cried to a movie in a long time but OMG that was beautiful Everything was perfect
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

I still hold TDK on a higher pedestal but I have seen it 20x more then TDKR. Just need to see this a few more times and pick up on the smaller things and see how it will grow on me. -PB

Did the ending of TDKR seem a little familiar to anyone else...? (Image is a Spoiler).

Just flicked over to Sin City, I've forgotten how fucking good this movie is. Plenty of talent in the cast too, Jessica Alba's scenes are so hot, Brittany Murphy and Alexis Bledel have their moments as well, I've always had a bit of a thing for Carla Gugino too for some reason.

Interesting how Chris and Jonathan made specific notes not to call her Catwoman but the "Cat Buglar". Same with TDK where it was Harvey Two-Face. And I can see why they referenced Blackgate and not Arkham, but seeing the judge (not spoiling) did make things a bit weird for those that are nit picky. -PB

Not saying I agree with it, I would have preferred it if they showed Alfred nodding and then cut to credits, but I think Chris wanted to show that Bruce and Selina ended up together. I had a feeling throughout the film that John Blake would end up being Robin. Just the way he went about his business and his character fitted Robin's quite well. I thought Tom Hardy as Bane was excellent, he really seemed to relish his role. All the cast was brilliant. I didn't expect that Miranda Tate would turn out to be Tahlia Al Ghul after Cotillard said her character was completely original.
Loved the back story for him, people became sympathetic to him, or at least i did. Had a feeling the Miranda Tate was always going to be Tahlia, dont know why but that was always the feeling i had. Anne Hathaway was fantastic. Bale was brilliant. Thought the John Blake character was fantastic and feel like a Robin/Nightwing spinoff will happen in the future.
Totally agree the Bane back story actually had you feeling kinda sorry for him. I'm just glad Bane got the big screen portrayal he deserved and not that crap that was supposedly Bane in Batman & Robin. I had the same feeling about Tate/Talia, always just knew that was going to happen. I'm glad Hathaway was great as Selina Kyle, was always the potential for it to just not work, but so happy it did and just like Ledger's joker and Nicholson's Joker, both brilliant performances in their own right. Pieffer's Catwoman and Hathway's Catwoman both great in different ways. I thought this was easily Bale's best performance of the whole trilogy and really was fitting for him to sign off with such a good performance. Thought JGL was great as Black and that whole Blake/Robin thing plus the ending is just begging Warner to do a spin off, and I don't see how they can pass that opportunity up to be honest.
 this page now looks like one of those confidential CIA files you see with parts blacked out.

I'm amazed how many reviews of TDKR have noted how Nolan has 'let down' the audience
