Watched Zoolander 2 last night.

It was very sequel-y. I imagine a lot of people won't like it.

But I still loved it.

Depp, Norton, Downey Jr...

IMO Depp is the only one to even go close to Leo's levels.

And I love all 4 of those guys.

The second greatest is Gyllenhaal. But he is destined to win two of three.

Downey junior is pretty good. Depp is not that good. Norton is ok.

None of them can hold a candle to Gyllenhaal or DiCaprio.

I watch it again just for the first 3 minutes alone.

Watched a Ukrainian movie called the tribe yesterday. Its disconcerting for a while as its in Ukrainan sign language with no subtitles. Every one in the movie is deaf, after a while you get to understand it thru actions and facial and body expressions.

I just watched Straight Outta Compton, not a bad film, but it just didn't excite me, and I'm a big rap fan.

I have found that a lot of my non rap friends, even those who hated it and thought it was all about guns money and hoes, have changed their tune a fair bit. It tells a story and provides some context in to the whole hip hop scene both in America and through association, the world

Jurassic world is fucking shit, the dinosaurs look more fake than fucking twenty years ago, the whole film looks fake af.

The acting is shit. And the ending is a bunch of fucking dinosaurs teaming up on a t-rex cuttlefish hybrid shit cunt.

I reckon if we look far back enough we'll find some absolute legends of the screen (often from the Royal Shakespeare Company) who never won an Oscar. Often, the classically trained British actors were the best.

Anyway. I've had a look. Alan Rickman never won an Oscar, nor did Ian Richardson. They were some of the best actors in the world.

And those are gents who were around recently. It would get very interesting if we looked at actors from the 40s, 50s, 60s, etc., who never won an Oscar.

But as for the guys in film now, Leo diCaprio is very unlucky.

I actually thought it was really good. But ok.

Of course it will never compare to the first one but its better than the other two IMO.

It stars Colin Farrell, the director is rather mean-spirited in terms of how he sees the way that people are coupled up (in the sense of Natural Selection)

It goes a bit long (it loses steam in the second half), but its a film that will make those think
