What comes around goes around. It could be the football gods way of saying fuck you to Vince for that terrible tackle against Bertos.
Im glad we will be giving someone with hunger like Jedinak rather than someone who was clearly complacement with his spot in the side. Our chances of winning have improved slightly.

Grella has had serious problems with his motivation since 2007 Asian Cup, where he also played poorly. To insult us by saying that the game against Germany was just a game -without being too serious about it, I know it is NOT actually life/death, but for someone in his position to actually SAY this as an excuse for his appalling game is something else - shows that the real injury is to his "give a damn" ligaments.
On top of this, his previously stated abhorence of the idea of finishing his career in the A-league indicates that he really only cares about his position in the Socceroos in terms of how it affects his next club contract.
Blessing in disguise? I think we all know there is no disguise here at all.

It appears that Grella is spiritualy an italo-phile and will probably end his days there rather than coming back to his real home and giving something back to the country that started his career.

great news. disgraceful tackles and yelling at officials leads to red cards. we don't need any more of those.

Fuck, its not like anyone died Vinnie, it's just a knee!!!
Seriously though from what ive read in the media today I don't think he's injured at all. If the media reports are close to accurate it seems that Vinne and Besciano had plenty to say to the coach and Pim, didn't take kindly to it. I think Vince was probably told that he won't be playing and he had the choice of saying that he's injured rather than lose face for being dropped. Reports are that Pim told Bresciano that he would rather play one of his reserve keepers out on the field that put him on the park. I just hope that the team can pull together and give it a decent shot in the Ghana game, were more than capable of beating them if we play to our strengths. Though if we play with a high defensive line looking to spring offside traps then were fucked already.

Maybe we might have a chance finishing with a 11 as well as starting with 11.

To be fair mickmack, it is well known he plans to live in Italy at the end of his career, hence ruling out a return to the A-League.
but besides this, its true his attitude has not been right for a while.. and boy it has shown...

Q. Does Vinnie's injury mean Pim can bring in someone from outside the squad? Ie Oar?

kanman - it was more the way he said than the fact. I compare to the way others have decided not to come back to Australia, and it was never as bad.
I am expat in NL at the moment and even though my career is getting a boost over here in an area where it is supposedly "better" I will not insult my profession in Australia the same way he did. And yes I will return to finish my career in Australia, and probably change profession and industry as well.

Very suspicious.
Good news in truth - UNLESS he starts Jedinak in his place and has Jedi-Valeri at DM. Thats not good.
Culina and Valeri, Bresh on the left, Emmo on the right, Holman in the hole and Kewell up front is what I am expecting.

No. That was only ever for serious injuries sustained PRIOR to the commencement of the tournament (or first match?) The player in question would have their situation assessed by FIFA, as aws the case with Brad Jones.
