Just because I can see the referee was right to give the penalty and a red suddenly I'm not an Australian supporter. It doesn't matter if it wasn't intentional. Point is his arm prevented a goal beig scored which is a sending off.

Seriously though. To you blokes who are going on about "intentional or not", have a fucking think eh.
Watch any corner in any match. Is pulling a blokes shirt a foul? Yes. If you're gonna stick directly to the rule, I wanna see you guys complaining that at every corner, in every game for the rest of the world cup, a corner isn't awarded as a penalty.
Wake up.
It's intention that counts, not what occurs.

Ladies and gentlemen, I draw your attention to FIFA's "rules of the game", Law 12, section 6, page 38: "A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off if he commits any of the following seven offences:... * denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball."
It was NOT a red card.

It needs to be intentional, inside or outside of the box. All referees are taught that of the arm prevents stops a goal being scored(that is if the arm is away from the body and stopping the natural path of the ball) wether there is intent or not it is a penalty and a red card. That's what I was told when I did the FIFA accredited refs course.

PEnalty was correct. Send off was correct and bios arms were away from his body. I still believe we can win this but we need to attack as often as possible. The deeper we defend the worse it will be. Chipperfield should come on and go forward

Thing is once your arm is away from your body(like Harry's was) it's considered to be deliberate because you are gaining an unfair advantage from it.

He clearly made a physical attempt to get his BODY in the way of the ball. His arm was beside his body. Chippers and Kennedy on now could be what we need. He got on the goal line and the shot was fired.

I would not have used Kennedy because we are down 1 man and he is not capable of controlling the ball at ground level to assist with the numerical dissadvantage

However, I dont' believe it was a foul as he didn't have the opportunity to move his arm, it wasn't a deliberate handball and it shouldn't have been called. We've looked our best now that Kennedy is on the pitch.

Hands were beside him and from the referee's perspective it looked like it hit him in the shoulder.
Frankly, where's your Australian passion? Yes he's hands were beside him, it clearly was not diliberate but it was a hand ball and it was in the box.
